Was doing a lore deep dive for research for an upcoming project and apparently Snowball has a son
Tumblr media
Mind you this seems to be a huge continuity error because it still goes with the “Rockso was kicked out over a banana” thing with zero allusions to Dory McClean, let alone insinuating that the band didn’t disband as soon as they kicked out Rockzo (or maybe it’s something in between and they crashed and burned with Ludwig as the singer). Also not sure how long the band was around for in-universe or his supposed age ,but either way go forth fan fic writers!

Mike munroe x male reader
Tumblr media
Summary: Trapped in the freezing sanatorium, Mike notices your body trembling from the cold and takes matters into his own hands-literally. His touch starts out innocent, a way to warm you up, but soon it turns into something far more heated.
Tags: Male reader. He/him pronouns are used towards the reader. Wolfie being a good boy. Mike and Jess are not together in this. Friends to lovers. Smut. Gay smut. Top Mike munroe. Bottom male reader. Anal sex.
Note: I played the original game years ago, and now that I'm playing the remake, my crush on Mike has come back. He's such a good character with amazing development. I never expected to like him this much. I'm near chapter 7 of the remake, and I'm honestly loving it.
Can also be found on wattpad and ao3

The cold of the sanatorium was oppressive. It seemed to leech the warmth from the very walls, seeping into your skin and bones, making every breath feel like you were inhaling shards of ice. As you and Mike rummaged through the mess of papers and debris in the dim, decaying room, the chill became impossible to ignore.
You had been at this for what felt like hours. Searching for anything, any clue, any scrap of information that could help you make sense of the nightmare you and your friends had stumbled into.
You wanted to focus. You needed to. But the cold was starting to weaken you. Your muscles ached from the effort of trying to stay warm, and despite your best attempts to keep it together, your hands were trembling as you shuffled through the scattered papers. The torn, thin jacket you'd found earlier did little to protect you, barely covering your torso, let alone insulating you from the freezing air.
Snowflakes continued to drift in from the broken windows, scattering across the dusty floor.
The place felt like a tomb. The smell of decay hung in the air, making every breath feel heavy, cold, and full of death.
Mike tried to stay focused, but even as his eyes scanned the scattered papers on the floor, his attention was pulled to you. You were over by the corner of the room, crouched low beside an old table, sifting through stacks of yellowed documents, your movements deliberate but slow. The jacket clung to you awkwardly, barely covering your arms and torso.
Even from across the room, he could hear your teeth chattering slightly, despite how hard you were trying to suppress it.
You always did that, pushing yourself even when it was clear you were struggling. Mike admired that about you, but it was also something that worried him. He knew you were trying to stay strong for him and the rest of the group, but the last thing Mike wanted was for you to get hurt or worse.
His thoughts raced, that protective instinct flaring up again. You didn't deserve this. You deserved to be somewhere warm, safe... with him.
He had been feeling that way for months now, ever since that night after he broke up with Emily. That night had changed everything for him. You were the one who stayed with him, sitting by his side, listening to him vent as he struggled to process the end of his long-term relationship.
You didn't just offer hollow platitudes; you gave him the kind of comfort and understanding he never knew he needed. He realized then, somewhere between the midnight conversation and the quiet moments of silence, that you were different. You weren't just his friend; you were the one person who made him feel like himself again.
After that night, he found himself constantly thinking about you. How easy it was to talk to you, how you made him laugh even when he felt like shit.
He'd find excuses to see you, call you up for help with college work, or invite you out for something casual. He always assumed you'd catch on quickly to his flirting, but you never did. Either he was terrible at flirting with a guy like you, or you were just completely oblivious.
Without a word, he began to unbutton his own jacket, which was far thicker and more insulated than the pathetic excuse you were wearing.
He held it out toward you.
"Here," he said simply. "Take it"
You shook your head immediately. "No. I'll be fine. You need it more than I do."
Mike narrowed his eyes, clearly not buying it. "You're freezing, man. You look like you're about to turn into an ice cube."
You tried to laugh it off, though it came out weak and unconvincing. "It's really not that bad. I can handle the cold. And it'd be selfish of me to take your jacket. There’s no way you're any warmer than I am."
With the simple tank top he was wearing underneath, now all dirty with mud and snow, it became even harder for you to stop staring at him. His muscular and strong arms drew your attention.
Mike sighed, holding the jacket out stubbornly towards you. "You're not fine. You're shaking like a leaf." He reached out, gently brushing his fingers over your arm, feeling the coldness of your skin even through the thin fabric of your jacket. "Just take it."
But you shook your head again, more firmly this time. "It wouldn't be fair," you murmured, looking down at the papers you were holding. "You need it just as much as I do. I can handle the cold. We've been through worse than this, right?"
Why couldn't you just let him take care of you for once?
"Come on," he tried again, his voice soft but insistent. "After everything we've been through tonight, hypothermia is the least of my worries. I'm not letting you freeze out here, not when I can do something about it."
You glanced up at him, your eyes softening for a moment, and for a second, Mike thought you might actually take the jacket. But then you shook your head again.
"I'll be fine, Mike."
Mike sighed heavily, his breath visible in the cold air as he ran a hand through his hair. "Damn it, you're stubborn.”
You gave him a small smile, trying to divert the conversation as you continued sorting through the papers. "I've been called worse."
Finally, with a deep sigh, Mike relented, shoving his jacket back on with a grumble.
Minutes passed in silence, the only sounds being the creak of old floorboards beneath your feet and the occasional rustle of paper. Wolfie, the wolf Mike had somehow managed to befriend, lay beside you, his fur brushing against your leg as he occasionally shifted.
Every so often, you'd reach down to scratch behind Wolfie's ears. His fur was soft under your fingertips.
You gripped the edges of the papers in your hand, hoping that somehow, just focusing on the task in front of you would make it better.
It didn't.
It was then that you noticed Mike shifting beside you and before you could react, his body was pressing up against your back, his arms wrapping around your waist in a firm but gentle hold. His warmth hit you immediately, and you couldn't stop the small gasp that escaped your lips at the sudden contrast.
"Mike?" you muttered, your voice barely above a whisper as you stiffened in surprise at the closeness.
"Relax," he murmured, his breath warm against the side of your neck. "If you won't take my jacket, I'll just have to warm you up myself." he whispered, his voice rough and low.
Your heart started to race, not just from the unexpected contact, but from the undeniable heat that surged through your body as Mike's lips brushed against the side of your neck. The sensation was electrifying, sending a shiver down your spine that had nothing to do with the cold this time.
His lips moved slowly, deliberately, trailing soft kisses down the length of your neck, each one sending a wave of heat through your body. Your body was leaning into his touch, craving more of the warmth and comfort he was offering.
This wasn't the Mike you were used to. This was something far more intimate, more personal.
"Mike... I don't..." you began, but your words trailed off as his lips found a particularly sensitive spot just below your ear, making your breath hitch in your throat.
"You don't what?" he asked softly, his hand sliding up from your waist to rest on your chest, pulling you even closer against him. "You don't want this?"
Of course you wanted it. More than anything, really. You'd been harboring feelings for Mike for so long, feelings you'd kept hidden, thinking there was no way he'd ever see you as anything more than a friend, a study partner, a background presence in his life.
But now, with his body pressed against yours and his lips trailing fire down your neck, it was clear that Mike had been seeing you in a very different light for a while.
"I didn't think..." you started, your voice barely above a whisper. "I didn't think you felt like this about me."
He hadn't planned on this happening, not exactly. But as he held you in his arms, feeling the heat of your body against his, he couldn't deny how good it felt, how right it felt to be this close to you. For years, he had pushed his feelings for you to the back of his mind, thinking it wasn't something you'd ever want. You were smart, focused, always so kind.
He pressed closer, his lips trailing lower along your collarbone, his fingers gently digging into your waist. The torn jacket you were wearing slid down slightly, giving him better access to your skin, and he took full advantage of it, kissing his way down your neck with slow, deliberate movements.
Mike's lips paused against your skin, and he pulled back, his expression soft but intense. "You really didn't notice, did you?" He chuckled softly, shaking his head. "I've been trying to get you to see it for months. I thought you'd pick up on it, but... guess I'm not as smooth as I thought."
You blinked at him, your mind reeling. "You've... been trying to tell me?"
"Yeah," he admitted, his thumb brushing gently against your cheek. "I've been dropping hints since we stayed up all night after Emily and I broke up. You were there for me, man. And ever since then I just... I couldn't stop thinking about you."
"I didn't think you'd ever feel like that about me," you confessed, your voice shaky with disbelief.
Mike smiled softly, his thumb brushing over your cheek as he pulled you a little closer. "I noticed the way you looked at me," he said quietly, his breath warm against your skin. "All those times you'd stare at me, thinking I didn't see. You were so fucking adorable, but it drove me crazy."
You blinked up at him, clearly shocked by the confession. Mike chuckled softly, his lips brushing over your jawline, his fingers tracing lazy circles on your waist. "You're not that good at hiding it, you know."
Before you could respond, Mike kissed you. His lips hungry, filled with all the emotions he hadn't been able to express before. His hands gripped your waist, pulling you closer.
You responded almost immediately, your lips parting under his, your fingers curling into the fabric of his shirt as you pulled him closer.
Mike deepened the kiss, his hands slipping beneath your jacket, his fingers tracing the outline of your hips, your waist, your chest. His tongue dipped past your lips.
After a long moment, Mike pulled back just enough to whisper, his voice low and rough, "You're okay with this, right?"
You didn't even hesitate this time. You nodded, breathless.
Mike's grin widened, and without another word, he kissed you again, even more deeply this time. His hands moved up your sides, tugging at the edges of your jacket as he pressed you against the wall.
You pulled him closer, your hands tangling in his hair as the heat between you both grew.
Mike's lips left yours, trailing down your jaw and back to your neck, his hands roaming your body as if he couldn't get enough of you. Your breath coming in shallow gasps as he kissed his way down to your collarbone, his grip on your waist tightening.
You wanted more, needed more, and judging by the way Mike was holding you with his erection pressing insistently against you, he felt the same.
He pulled back slightly, a grin tugging at the corners of his lips as he glanced over at Wolfie, who had been lying quietly in the corner of the room.
He bent down, ruffling the fur of the wolf who had been sitting quietly in the corner of the room. "Go on, buddy," Mike whispered. "Follow me for a second."
The wolf trotted after Mike as he stepped out of the room, leaving you alone for a few moments, heart still racing. You could hear him talking softly to Wolfie just outside the door, something about how you were "the guy" he'd told the wolf about before.
When Mike came back into the room, locking the door behind him, the intensity in his eyes made your pulse quicken even more.
Without wasting another second, Mike crossed the room in a few quick strides and grabbed you by the waist, pulling you into a deep, hungry kiss. His lips were insistent, full of desire, and you couldn't help but melt into him, wrapping your arms around his neck as you kissed him back with just as much need.
Mike's hands roamed over your body, gripping your hips, pulling you closer. His tongue teased at your lips before slipping into your mouth, deepening the kiss.
He broke the kiss just long enough to mutter, "God, I've wanted you for so long."
Then, his lips were on yours again. His hands gripping you even tighter, pressing you against the nearest wall as his mouth trailed down your neck, nipping and biting at the sensitive skin there.
His hands were on you, pulling at your clothes, lowering them to expose just what was needed with an almost frantic urgency, before he gripped your ass, his fingers digging into the soft skin with a possessive intensity as he lifted you slightly, pressing his body against your.
"Relax," Mike whispered, his voice low and commanding as his fingers trailed down, teasingly brushing against your entrance. "Let me take care of you."
He teased you for a moment, his fingers gently exploring before he slowly pushed one inside, his eyes never leaving yours.
"You're so fucking tight," he groaned, his voice low and gravelly.
He moved his finger slowly at first, watching your face for every reaction, but as you relaxed into his touch, he added another finger, stretching you carefully.
Mike's other hand reached up to cup your face, his thumb brushing gently over your cheek as he leaned in to kiss you again, this time slower, more tender.
By the time Mike pulled his fingers out of you, you were trembling with anticipation, your body aching for him.
You heard the rustle of fabric as he undid his pants, and then you felt the tip of his hard cock rubbing against your thigh.
"Ready for me?" he asked, his voice low and rough.
You could barely nod, your entire body trembling with need. Mike lined himself up, his hands gripping your hips firmly, and then, with one slow, steady thrust, he pushed inside.
The sensation was overwhelming, a mix of pleasure and pain as he stretched you, filled you completely. He moved slowly at first, watching your face for any sign of discomfort, but all you could do was moan softly, your hands clutching at his shoulders.
"You're perfect," Mike groaned as he began to move, his hips moving with slow, deliberate motions. "You feel so fucking good."
Mike's hands were everywhere, gripping your hips, sliding up your chest, cupping your face as he kissed you hungrily. His cock filled you completely, each slow thrust sending waves of pleasure through your body.
His hands moved lower, his fingers finding their way between your legs as he stroked you in time with his thrusts.
The more his pace picked up, the more his movements became rougher, more desperate. He kissed you again, biting at your lips, your neck, his hands gripping your ass tightly as he pulled you closer with each thrust.
"Fuck," Mike groaned, his voice low and husky. His soft grunts filling the cold room as he moved inside you.
The pleasure built to an unbearable peak as his thrusts became faster, harder. You could feel the heat spreading through your body, your muscles tensing as you teetered on the edge.
And then, with one final, deep thrust, Mike groaned loudly, his hands gripping you tightly as he came, his cock pulsing inside you. The sensation sent you over the edge as well, and you cried out as your own orgasm ripped through you, your voice muffled against his neck.
After a few moments of catching your breath and letting the weight of everything settle in, Mike pressed another soft kiss to your forehead before pulling away slightly, his hands lingering on your hips. You could see the satisfied smile tugging at his lips, that playful, cocky expression you had grown so used to over the years. He gave you a wink before straightening up, pulling his pants back up and adjusting himself as if nothing had happened.
You followed suit, your body still buzzing with the aftermath. There was something so surreal about it all. Being here, with Mike Munroe, of all people. You had known him for years, but you had never imagined things would end up like this.
Once you were both dressed and more or less presentable, Mike walked over to the door, unlocking it with a soft click.
"Ready to face Wolfie again? He might be a little upset that we kicked him out." He glanced back at you, a mischievous smile playing on his lips, before swinging the door open.
Outside, Wolfie was sprawled out across the floor, his furry body taking up most of the tight hallway. The wolf's ears twitched at the sound of the door opening, and he turned his head to glance at the two of you. His golden eyes scanned you two and then, with what could only be described as a huff, he plopped his head back down onto the floor, letting out a long sigh as if he had been deeply offended by the delay.
"Is he pouting?" you asked, incredulous.
Mike smirked, clearly amused by the wolf's behavior. "What? You jealous, buddy?" he teased as he crouched down beside Wolfie. The wolf, still looking somewhat begrudging, turned his head away, as if refusing to acknowledge Mike.
Mike reached out, scratching Wolfie behind the ears, his voice dropping into a low, playful tone. "Come on, don't be mad. I was just doing my part to keep him warm. You know how cold it is here."
You watched as Wolfie's resolve began to crumble under Mike's touch, his tail thumping softly against the floor as Mike scratched behind his ears. Mike chuckled, his cocky grin growing wider. "See? I warmed him up real good. All thanks to me."
Wolfie responded with a soft growl. He finally turned his head back toward Mike and he ruffled his fur, looking pleased with himself.
"Yeah, yeah," you said, rolling your eyes but unable to stop the smile from spreading across your face.
Mike stood up, shooting you a wink as he slung his arm around your shoulder. "Damn right, I did." He leaned in to press a soft, quick kiss to your lips.
Together, you and Mike walked down the hallway, Wolfie trotting along beside you. And as Mike gave your shoulder a reassuring squeeze, you couldn't help but feel grateful that, through all the chaos and terror of the night, you had found someone worth fighting for.
If you liked this story please leave a comment, I love reading them <3.

Some people have been saying this, but I don't think it's been said enough and I'm just going to add my voice to the mix.
Nimona's nomination is being framed as an example of "Look at what Disney missed out on!" and I get it. It's a nice, tasty schadenfreude situation and we all like to see The Mouse get taken down a peg.
But I think we need to be very clear; Disney did not miss out on anything because they were never going to take that sort of risk.
Disney was never going to release anything close to the Nimona we got. It would have been sanded down until anything obviously queer or controversial was as faint and unnoticeable as possible by the casual viewer. And then they would still be too scared of any potential backlash. So they would have given the film a limited release at theatres, with no advertising, or social media or support.
Like what happened with Strange World.
You remember Strange World, right?
No?
That's because no one does.
And I believe that was deliberate, because that way Disney can go "Weeellll... obviously we would LOVEto take more risks and have more inclusive stories but that's clearly not what the public wants!"
Look at the original concepts for Wish. The evil royal couple? The peter-panesque star boy that would have made the gen zers go feral the same way millenials went feral for Jack Frost? These could have been the best things about the movie, and even they were scrapped, and replaced with something more homogenised. And those ideas are nowhere near the level of the concepts and discussions Nimona brought to the table.
Disney can barely have explicit gay people. Nimona has a gay south Asian man in a relationship with an east Asian man. As a protagonist! But more than that, you think Disney could ever come up with a relationship as complicated and difficult as Boldheart and Goldenloin's? They would never have the guts to show one love interest cutting off the other's arm in a straight relationship. Let alone a gay one! And then for them to be on opposite sides of the conflict, shifting between feelings of betrayal, and questioning each other motives? That's some adult dark shit for a kids film.
Asha as a character was forced into the quirky girl role that Disney has already flogged to death with Anna and Rapunzel. You ever think they would allow a Disney princess to be as dark and violent and nuanced as Nimona? You ever picture the titial character of a Disney film AS the third act conflict, rampaging through a city in a self destructive rage? Nimona is anti authoritarian, vengeful, bloodthirsty, a pretty explicit trans allegory, and even, by the climax, openly suicidal. You KNOW that terrified Disney.
I had a thing about the Director here too but I was shocked by how long that got so I'll have to save her for a different post.
My point is the things that make Nimona art, that make Nimona a great story, that make the film important and Oscar worthy, are all things that Disney has become too chicken shit to produce. If Disney had released a film called Nimona it wouldn't have been Nimona. I fully believe that if the film hadn't had been 90% finished it wouldn't have been shelved. It would have been lobotomised and vivisected. Everything special and vital about the movie and its message would have been removed, and no one would have known what could have been. Once again we would have gotten scraps and been thankful for them.
It makes me think about films like Wish (and others we don't know the name of, and never will) and think of what they could have been if studio's like Disney were braver and let their artists make art, instead of content.
tl;dr Disney didn't miss out on Nimona because they are incapable of making Nimona. If they had produced it the real Nimona wouldn't exist. We didn't miss out on Nimona. And that's purely by luck.

Hi hi hun! Hope I’m not bugging you but I’d love to hear your opinion on the yandere Twst boys and who is willing to share darling/me/Yuu. I see so much sentiment about yanderes never sharing/teaming up but I just don’t get it. Some characters have such tight friendships, or fill what the other lacks, that I see them working together so well! Like sure you could divide them by dorm, kinda obvious, but then there are other less thought of team ups that could be fun. I’ve seen on here what’s dubbed as the number 2 squad (Leona, Jamil, and Vil) and I think that could be a relatively healthy (maybe a little competitive) team up. Others that come to mind, Jack and Vil, music club, and the four house husbands (Trey, Ruggie, Jamil, and Jade). Like teaming up means darling always has SOMEONE watching them. One may be better at comforting/calming darling, while another is more sly and can manipulate them better. There’s just so many fun combos you could play with! I’d love to hear what you think!
Remember to take care of yourself. Drink water, eat a snack, and stretch! Have a great day! 😊
Ty for the lovely ask, darl’ 🥺
Okay! Let's start with the team ups within each house!
HEARTSLABYUL
Ace and Deuce -- obviously. They're your first friends in the school (aside from Grim, but he doesn't count), the only people they hang out with aside from you is each other. They bicker, but they also understand that it's more advantageous for them to work together. Ace still teases Deuce and I think both of them still Daydream of getting you to themselves, but you've taught them the magic of teamwork and, unfortunately, you taught them well.
Riddle and Trey -- Childhood friends. Like with what we know of their story, I feel that Trey in particular would be willing to share with Riddle. And they're pretty well balanced as a yandere team. With them there is no cut "good cop/bad cop." Yes, Riddle is strict, but he's also so very baby, yknow? With his raging mommy issues, I imagine he's the type who would love to be coddled by his darling. Trey is that older brother type, so of course he knows when and how to put his foot down, but he's also so so so sweet and gentle. Riddle is definitely more likely to dole out punishments, though.
Cater -- he doesn't need to teamup to have the power of numbers on his side.
All 5 -- Riddle doesn't just watch over you, but also the others lol. He creates a schedule and rules for the members of this yandere team to follow so they can work as a well oiled machine to care for and share you. Ace is the most likely to see you even when its not his scheduled time. Deuce is a suck up who always tries to earn your favor, VERY easy to manipulate and get favors from. Trey is very sweet, but incredibly difficult to manipulate. Cater is a schemer who would probably plan an escape with you to keep you to himself. And as I already said, Riddle is the one who keeps everyone in check.
SAVANNACLAW
Ruggie and Leona -- again, a fairly obvious one. Ruggie already works under Leona for table scraps, of course he'll work with him for you. Leona acts top dog in the relationship, and gets first dibs with you, but what that really means is that any time you're not with Leona, Ruggie is making up for lost time. Like in the Heartslabyul team up, Riddle makes sure to schedule breaks/alone time for you. You don't get that here, you are always with one of them. Your "alone time" is when Leona sleeps.
All 3 -- basically just Leona and Ruggie throwing Jack a bone (heheh). In this one you can technically get some sort of alone time, cuz if you talk it over with Jack, he'd be willing to give up some of his time with you to make sure you can rest up.
OCTAVINELLE
Octotrio -- or as I prefer, the seafood polycule. I already did a whole separate post just talking about them lol, but you got twins and childhood besties and they're also business partners, like these boys know how to work together and share.
SCARABIA
HA fuckin unlikely. Even if Jamil does have the patience to share a darling with Kalim, I just -- like I'd feel too bad to write it. Like let him have this one thing, I am not going to make Jamil share his darling with Kalim, ESPECIALLY because darling would probably cozy up to Kalim more because delusional sunshine yanderes are the easiest to manipulate.
POMEFIORE
Rook and Vil -- these two barely even need to verbally communicate, when it comes to their darling they are on the same wavelength, which makes them a formidable team up. Like they got systems in place that just happen naturally, no need to discuss. For example, if you run away, Rook hunts you, Vil punishes you. They just work.
ALL 3 -- Vil lets Epel join in so long as he behaves. Epel would be the easiest to manipulate, but Vil keeps the both of you in check. Despite Epel's negative feelings towards Vil, Vil and Rook can turn Epel on you just as you turn Epel on them. Epel isn't completely stupid, if he finds out you're taking advantage of him, it will not be pretty or cute.
IGNIHYDE
Ortho would definitely platonically help out. You make his big brother so happy, and you make the perfect older sister for him!!
DIASOMNIA
Silver and Sebek -- calm n loud. Basically their relationship with Malleus but transferred into yanderes + darling.
A part of me can see Lilia teaming up with Silver but I don't like thinking about it for too long
All 4 -- The situation in the Diasomnia group is basically understood as you are with Malleus, but you are allowed to also see the other 3. Like the other three are side pieces. Malleus is sharing with his boys. You gotta share with your boys.
MIX N MATCH
The Freshies -- Ace, Deuce, Jack, Epel, Sebek -- freshies gotta look out for each other, right? And that's what they're doing. Looking out for you.
The Discord Mods -- Azul and Idia. If Idia were to team up with any one person, I think it'd be Azul. Like in Azul's lab wear vignette, Azul was the only one Idia felt comfortable enough to ask for help from. I can imagine them scheming together in their club teehee.
The Overblotters -- they all realized they share one thing in common... no, not overblot, you! They all share you! They swear that you are their cure, the only thing to keep them stable. So you kinda have to stay with them, for safety reasons.
The House Wardens -- it's the overblotters but switch out Jamil with Kalim. And it makes all the difference, having the sunshine boy involved, istg. The housewardens deserve something nice, right? That something being you ofc.
The vice house wardens -- including Ruggie. A lot of them are very tired and just want quiet darling time, and the ones that aren't tired make darling feel tired enough to be quiet for quiet darling time.
Leona and Rook -- Leona did not consent to this, but there's not much he can do. Especially since Rook is happy not only to do most of the physical labor involved in caring for a darling, but also to stand by as Leona gets Darling time. It's weird and uncomfortable for everyone involved.
The light music club -- they spend most of their club time talking about you tbh. Also please don't listen to closely to any lyrics of the songs they write...
Basketball boys -- imagine going to their practice to support Ace. Ace brags to them about how close he is with you. But then now when Floyd isn't in the mood to ball, he'll chat it up with you. One day Floyd just asks "you what if we took them." And then they do.
These are just the basics, but I'd be happy to go into more detail on a group/pairing if asked to!

Trailer Park Steve AU part 7
part 1 | part 6 | chapter 1 on ao3
cw: panic attack, ptsd flashback to minor character death, graphic depictions of… food? lol
Dinner is exactly as chaotic as Steve expected it to be. He and Claudia take opposite end seats with a glass of red wine each, and the kids take the middle and start acting like a pack of caffeinated raccoons: talking over each other, scraping forks against plates, stretching their entire upper bodies across the table and dragging their sleeves through the side dishes instead of just asking someone to pass them the butter; Steve’s starting to wonder if any of these kids have ever eaten at a table before, or if they maybe just wandered in from the surrounding woods. Feral asses.
When they do start asking for things, he regrets wishing they would, because Lucas goes “Erica, can you pass me the salt?” and Erica sneers “I don’t know, can I?” and Mike jabs “Whatever; nobody says ‘may’ anymore, you dork” and Claudia gasps “Michael!” and it all escalates from there until Dustin tries to catapult lasagna off the end of his fork and hits Steve in the side of the head with a glob of warm cheese.
Silence falls around the room.
The cheese plops onto his plate.
“Sh-ii-it,” Dustin breathes, face stuck in wide-eyed shock.
Steve gives Claudia an imploring look.
“Why don’t we clear the table for dessert?”
The commotion starts up again in double time, everyone scrambling to clean up and clear the room before Steve starts bitching about them messing up his hair (and his plate, and his clothes, because the cheese splash sent a spray of little tomato sauce droplets splattering all over him, and isn’t that just perfect; he’s gonna have to hand-scrub the stain out of his khakis), so it’s just him and Dustin left when Dustin’s elbow catches and tips over his wine.
The liquid spills onto his plate: dark, and red, oozing into the uneaten scraps of sauce and cheese and pasta to form a viscous, fleshy sludge. Red like his dad’s office, like his father’s mangled thigh, and it’s just food it’s just food it’s not blood it’s not blood but he can’t fucking breathe, can’t hearing anything beyond the wet, gasping sounds his dad made the night he died, and then he realizes that he’s making them, mouth moving fruitlessly around air that won’t pass, trapped in the bottleneck of his choked-off windpipe.
“Steve?” Dustin asks, and his voice sounds far away. “Shit, shit, Steve! Can you hear me? Are you choking? I know the Heimlich, just- just hold on!”
He snaps out of it when Dustin pulls him halfway from his chair, gets his fists under his ribs and all but punches the air from his lungs. It sets off a nasty coughing fit that leaves Steve snotty and ready to hurl, and he braces himself with his forearms on his knees and stares hard at the ground until the hacking finally stops.
There’s a scuff on his sneakers.
He can’t replace them any time soon.
A moment to catch his breath, and Dustin’s shaking him by the shoulders. “Are you okay??”
Steve keeps his head bowed. “Yeah.” He needs to get the fuck out of here. “Yeah, I’m good.”
He rises from his chair, grateful that everyone else already cleared out before they could witness his little moment, that the blare of the TV from the family room covered the sound of his retching coughs; more grateful still that they won’t notice him now, scampering out of here with his tail between his legs. “Hey listen, man, I’m not feeling so well,” he says absently, fishing his keys from the pocket of his jeans. “Can you get your mom to drive everyone home?”
“Shouldn’t you stay?” Dustin frowns in concern. “If you’re sick? You can go lie down in my room or something, it’s—”
“—Nah, man; I mean, thanks, but…” His hand trembles around his keys, the muscles in his calves screaming bolt, bolt, bolt. “I just- I gotta go.”
He makes a break for it, rushing out the side door so no one else will see him leave (and he knows it’s fucking rude to head out without saying goodbye, but he’s also pretty convinced he’s going to combust if he doesn’t go right now.) “Tell your mom I said thanks, okay?”
“Tell her yourself!” Dustin chases after him, clumsy and slow across the darkened yard. “Dude, will you slow down? Talk to me!”
Steve throws himself into his car like there’s a demodog on his heels. “I’ll call you!”
“What the fuck!” Dustin shouts, but Steve’s already gone.

Finally free from lots of work and chore aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
(Just for the heads up, I'm really sorry for the rant I instead doing than ramble ⁄(⁄ ⁄•⁄ω⁄•⁄ ⁄)⁄)
The next part of deceitfully your mak3 me scream, lord I need a man like cross dress scaramouche. He's creepy but I love him.
Also a thought about cross dress scara.
Imagine him getting popular among girls and them keep asking for him to hang out with the girl, he was annoyed consider whenever he ask for you to also join, the other girls were somehow surprise and down. (just imagine the popular mean girl group ask him to join but he also include you)
Imagine scara who realize not many people like you because you didn't share the same opinion about boys, some say your just asking for attention by pretending to be scared. Oh how he wish he can just beat all of those word back to their mouth, how dare they?!? Saying stuff like that about you! Only he can do that! is what he thought when he hear the nasty rumor.
Cross dress scara who keep asking the teacher if he can be place near you always, need a group? Oh can you be so kind to place me with [name]?, have some project? Oh [name] be my project partner. Ect Ect.
Also the though of cross dress scara who make 2 lunch when he realize you keep buying the cafeteria food. He says he accidentally made more for him and his sister, while in reality he go so much as far to ask you about your favorite food (how much you like your egg done is, how much rice you would like, how much seasoning and so on with the detail) while you didn't notice too much about the topic when the two of you were going home from school. Him who make an 'extra turbo maximum pro efforts' with your lunch and he has a decent effort lunch while his sister has the leftover of all the ingredient he just use (you= a cute bear/cat/character you like with many side dish like meat and vegetable, him= a decent mean any other human eats normally, his sister= anything scrap, but still presentable. Half an egg roll? Sure why not put it in a place where it look like it's full. (she can't complain to her mother because none of them can't cooked))
Cross dress scaramouche who keep getting popular and popular the more day he going to the school. Who always have girls looking up at him while he deceitfully fool all of them. He who have visit your house and meet the sole reason why you have a very close minded to men. Him who butter up your mom to make her thrust him enough that he will protect you from other men harms. Him who now remeber your emergency house key placement after your mother thrust him enough to protect you. Him who keep suggesting you had a sleep over with him in your house while you play it like a normal thing to do.
Cross dress scara who definitely hug you form behind while you were asleep when he sleep over, making sure the door was close and he got a recorder to record you while you sleep. Who brought camera to take your sleeping face (like his wall is not full enough with your picture now), he who take a peek at your bathroom and noted the many different products like sampo and soap you use so he can also use the same one.
My head is SOO full of cross dress scara to the point I wish he was real OMG I need him he's creepy and kinda gross but I need him.
➡(link for au)
Rei you legit just wrote the most jaw dropping scenarios for this au and I'm loving it!
note: He is viewed as a 'girl' from other's point of view
〰〰〰
When the other girls try to invite him over to their table he'll try to politely decline at first, saying he has somewhere else he has to be yet they're always so persistent to the point he has to clench the fabric of his skirt in order to ground himself. Besides, why would he want to hangout with a herd of stuck up girls when he can be—
as if on cue, you walk through the doors of the cafeteria
"come on, we really don't mind if you sit here and-" he was already walking away, his focus solely on you as you gave him a small wave when you noticed him approaching you. "[y/n], perfect timing. Luckily for you I was able to snag us a table before all the seats were taken." he says taking ahold of your hand and leading you to the table he's previously been at. The girls tried to hide their shocked expression when Scara brought you to their table, both from how he so nonchalantly ignored them just now and because out of all the people he decided to befriend it just had to be you.
Scara was aware that some of the girls in the school disliked you for disliking boys, often hearing how they whispered about how weird you were for being the way that you are, and it takes every fiber in his body just to hold back and to not shove the student's binder notebook down their throat and tell them to shut up and mind their own damn business.
The quick switch from his crescent-eyed smile directed at you to his disinterested gaze looking back to them made a shiver crawl down their spine. One of the girls fakes a cough, trying to get your guys' attention.
"You sure are lucky we saved you a seat, huh Scara?" his eyes twitched wanting to scrape his name off of the girl's tongue. "Yes, though it would seem there aren't anymore seats left for you guys." The look of confusion passed around the table left even you slightly baffled by what Scara said. A loud thud resounded around the space when his hand collided on top of the table as he gave them a smile, the corners of his mouth twitching.
"Get lost."
It's also common for him to find excuses in order to just be in the same group and or partnership with you for projects. Fr the type to pull out a whole ass presentation about "100 and more in counting reasons why me and [y/n] were made for each other should be group partners." at this point the teacher doesn't even bother stopping him from suddenly declaring himself a part of your group or him transfering you to the group he's already in. cheeky little thing.
I'd like to think he's terrible at cooking, but he gave it a shot and got better and better the more he realized you liked his cooking. The little goofy smile on his face whenever you complimented the meal he made for you. He does disregard your questions as to what he was going to eat for
*・゚゚・*:.。..。.:*゚:*:✼✿
I don't mind the rant one bit, so please don't apologize!
I promised myself I wouldn't write anything and just react to what you sent but i couldn't help myself
૧(ꂹີωꂹີૂ)
The more I read and read the more my imagination started to flourish with your amazing headcannons. He just wants to love and be loved by you that his actions go from cute to overly obsessive without him even realizing it (he doesn't even think watching you sleep is crazy!).
Overall he does have good intentions but his methods of expressing them are definitely interesting.
I might write a few more headcannons for this ask so thank you for sending it in rei :)

Been seeing so many tweets abt it and I wanna get back on yonder soap box for a second cuz I have my own musings
I had always wondered if Vax would show up when Vex was drowning in Dalen's Closet and then when he didn't I wondered why and mused that barring the above table reasons of this being a game with set rules and Matt can't just deus ex machina their way outta all their scraps, that below table the Deal Vax had already made with RQ for Vex's safety was all the flexing she would allow him to do and then voila Vex comes back anyhow, and I think it's important to note that as Vex was dying Liam slipped out of Derrig's character, something he doesn't do much, and into Vaxbrain ("We had a deal, Matt.") to Express how unhappy he was that Vex was drowning and the deal he'd made was being routed and I think that's proof enough that Vax would if allowed absolutely come down there and rescue his family from any and all scrapes if he was able to,
Now with this latest episode, We saw Otohan bedecked Paragon's Call with RQ's symbols, we know Otohan has the poison that prevents you from being rezzed which is an affront to RQ's domain and position if I've ever heard one, we know the attack on Kiki was on purpose and possibly to get RQ's attention, get her looking and all, and this whole situation with Ludinus is the biggest threat yet faced to all the gods and all their domains,
And that's why she let Vax through the gates this time, just in time to wrest that permadeath dagger away from the heart of the love of his life. I don't think Vax could have been there without the requisite chips falling where they did, without RQ letting him, I think the thought that he busted through all of those gates unprompted and w/o permission is a little disingenuous because Vax would want to do that for any and every one of his family members every day all the time forever, but it makes perfect sense that as the Raven Queen's champion he would be sent down to stop Ludinus from freeing Predathos and it makes perfect sense for Vax to veer off from his official business, to shirk his responsibility and use the opportunity given to go to her, to do such a grand and meaningful gesture for his one true love, and tl sound so unclouded and present while doing so, I mean
This is Vax we're talking about. The guy who looked death (death herself both times y'know, Otohan and her dagger and RQ, two sides of a coin or something) right in the eye, twice, clutching his girls to him and telling that nigh all powerful entity to fuck right off cuz they can't have these girls he loves more than life? Peak Vax behavior. To know he's been watching Keyleth for so long finally seized his moment to help her, and did so with gusto? True love. The purest kind, the Vax-iest kind. Not even death can stop his love for her, for Vex, for Vox Machina.
And I think after this all is over they need to renegotiate the terms of Vax's service so he can stay back past the gates with the rest of his family cuz RQ is a stingy bitch and should have been MUCH laxer with gate-crossing privileges, I mean Vax has more than earned it now

LU HEADCANNONS FOR EACH OF THE BOIS
ALPHABETICAL ORDER
Four
Looks at his feet ALL THE TIME while walking, he doesn’t wanna step on a minish. Speaking of which, aside from Legend, is the only one fluent in more than one language because he knows the picori language
His hair looks brushed? Nah, it’s not. He tried brushing it and it always gets tangled, but the knots are just so fine it doesn’t even look like it’s tangled, so he only brushes the top layer of his hair.
Hyrule
Keeps the peace. One of the only reasons that the chain isn’t at each others throats. Part of the reason is that he doesn’t know what half of these debates is about, but is very good at making each side seem like he agrees with them, even though he’s confused.
Memorizes facts about everybody’s Hyrule to be prepared. Is VERY keen on being prepared. Even though he may come off as chaotic, he always has a plan for whatever will go wrong. Very much belives in murphey’s law.
Legend
ANGSTY GUY. Seems talkative but NEVER talks about what he truly thinks just talks because he feels the need to show people that he exists and is strong.
Claims that he hates children. Yet he will hug any baby he sees. Absolutely adores children if we are being honest. He even got Sky to teach him embroidery so he can embroid little blankets for babies 🥹
Sky
Hopeless romantic. He will wax poetry about Sun for 25 hours seven days a week if you let him. He shares literally everything he’s interested in with her.
He sometimes (this is so OOC but idc) sends post cards of him and Fi to LD-301S Scrapper to make him jealous. He absolutely hates that tiny robot.
Time
Cryptic. Will spill traumatizing memories of his past but will make them so cryptic that nobody will understand WHAT he’s saying.
(I think we can all agree) a father at heart. He knows eventually he will have to bid his goodbyes to the other 8 members of the chain but REALLLLY doesn’t wanna.
Twilight
Will eat table scraps
Is either REALLY good at getting women or REALLY bad, depends on where and when. Even though he is he regrets everyone because he’s still sad about Midna.
Family therapist. He knows everybodies problems and never shares them to anybody else, he’s always there for everyone.
Warriors
Even if he flirts with women, he never wants to date anyone. He’s still kinda… traumatized about Cia. He is more of a “take you out on a nice date but remains just friends” guy. He knows it may come off as toxic but he has best intentions.
He actually got his scarf enchanted by a great fairy. It as a defense boost and attack up. There is a reason he wears it, gotta be fashionable and practical.
Wild
LOADED, like 999,999 rupees. Because of this, for each era he goes to, he buys a yard of fabric for his home era. He will find use for it… some day.
As much as he and Flora are… alright together. He is still salty about her. He knows that she was struggling with finding her own destiny, but he still doesn’t like how he was treated.
Wind
Do NOT challenge him to any card game. At all. He will win he will take all your rupees and there is nothing you can do to stop him. And by the rare case that you DO beat him, he will pull the “young innocent baby boy” card which makes you want him to win and end up revoking your winner status.
A mischievous boy. Will poke people with his wind waker and finds it hilarious ever. Single. Time. The amount of times Wars literally had to hide it from him as he kept using the “control” power (idk what to call it) is uncountable. People would think that he taught Aryll all of this, but nope. Aryll was the one that taught him all those tricks. It runs in the family.
Ooohhhh these headcannons are so fun!!!
Fours little fairy knots in his hair is oddly adorable
Hyrule being the peacemaker instead of sky is really refreshing and I feel like more on oar for his character tbh!
Legend embroidering baby blankets has my heart MELLTIIINGGG😭❤️
Sky being a gremlin to Scrapper is also VERY true to his character. Sky is the best little piece of crap 🤣🤣
Time being SO cryptic hahaha and why shouldn't he be? It's so much more fun that way LOL.
Me feeding Twi all my scraps
Poor wars, Cia really is disgusting😠
Wild being rich🤣YES HAHA and they would be so shocked too lolol
Wind will BANKRUPT wild in a game of cards haha that would be a night to remember lol

Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5 Part 6 Part 7 Part 8 Part 9
“Is this something we are meant to do?”
“Fuck it.”
Tumblr media
“What exactly did you buy, Matt?” I leant against the passenger door with my back facing the car, adjusting my clothing repeatedly since I had nothing else to do.
“God, you can be so impatient sometimes” He was being vague on purpose, and nothing gave away what he had planned, I just messed around with the hem of my skirt until he was ready to leave.
“I’m not the one being secretive here” I huffed, growing more impatient the more he was leading this conversation on. With the sound of the trunk shutting, I quickly swivelled my hips to try and spy anything to answer my questions. However, he shoved everything into his bags, holding them by his hips.
“I’m not the one being whiny, look I promise you will like it.” He almost snaps at me with a harsher tone than before, so I drop it to avoid making the situation worse.
I walk in front of Matt, leading him through all the bushes and pathways. I knew the path like the back of my hand and yet once again we had gone in the dark to it took longer than necessary. I had never planned to go here either and so I got struck with brambles that also stuck through my clothing. My shoes were scrapped, and my zip-up jacket had been dragged back by branches and leaves and I was growing agitated.
“Are you alright, Ally?” While I know he is being sincere in his questioning, I merely respond with a deep sigh before finally responding.
“All of this shit is overgrown and it's getting on my nerves.” I feel the level of stress rise whenever I had to throw another branch to the side, but I get distracted by the nickname that he reused. That wasn’t going to go away anytime soon.
“Here, let me help you” I turn around to see the distance between Matt and I shortening before he walked past me, he holds the next few branches to the side with one arm and insinuating for me to go forward with the other.
He continues this for the rest of the journey up towards the houses behind the Grove, holding back branches and leave to clear a path for me. This was definitely something that Matt had planned to do in his head, wearing heavy duty boots that weren’t impacted when standing down on the thorns. A thick pair of jeans covered his legs followed by a jacket I had seen him wear multiple times during school practice in the mornings.
The closer that we got to the houses, the less amount of foliage that I had to pass through. Matt remained walking ahead of me and I took any chance I got to stare at his backpack trying to find any hint or recognisable shape that I could pinpoint.
“Which house are we going to” we had only explored a few of the houses since the last times I was here and there were still about six of them that we hadn’t looked at once.
“The first one we went into when you brought me here” He smiled at me, holding a strap with a free arm getting more excited about his plans the closer we got to each house.
He follows me to the second house on the street, instantly recognising the poorly painted walls and abandoned tools on the tables.
“You want to see what I brought now?” The backpack is gently placed on the floor, lowered by its straps and Matt looks up to me and I immediately get a bigger smile on my face.
“Ugh finally!” My body stands directly next to his with my eyes not moving from his hands that gently open up the top of the backpack and unzipping the first section.
He pulls out several pots of paint, varying in colours but still remaining consistent to each other. Several blues, browns, pinks and white paint cans spread over the wooden floorboards. After barely processing the colours, Matt pulls out more equipment that I hadn’t used in the house before like a sander and mini saws.
“What the fuck, where did you get all of this!” I grab the saws out of his hands quickly and analyse them one by one before placing them atop the table next to me.
“When you pointed out details when you first brought me here, you kept naming things that remained unfinished or the plans you never got to put in place. So...I thought I could do something about it..” He trails off as he notices me staring up towards him, not realising that my cheeks are turning redder with each small detail he remembered.
“You really did all that?” My smile widens on my face.
“You’ve talked about this place and anytime we go you always bring up a plan that never happened. I needed to change that quickly.” His arm grips the back of his neck and rubs the skin gently.
“How much did this all cost Matt..” I peek at all the tins of paint with a multitude of colours being represented with small labels across the front.
“Doesn’t matter” His voice was blunt as he picked up one of the pink shades displayed in front of us.
“The fuck do you mean it doesn’t matter, this amount of paint has got to be expensive.”
“Doesn’t matter. Your smile matters to me more than a bit of money.” Those words just spilled casually from his lips and my body seized slightly and dropped the initial attitude. I felt my stomach twist in an unfamiliar way, and I just slowly shut my mouth.
“Now are you going to be quiet and grab a paintbrush or keep complaining.” I am left a little stunned as he brushes past with me with a grin over his face. I manage to reconnect with my thoughts and quickly grab a small paintbrush sprawled at my feet. I walk over to Matt where he had start to pour the thick liquid into a spare tray that had obviously been used before and dips his own brush into it. I watch as the lightly pigmented mixture drips down the sides of the tin after he scraps it.
I saw a small smile linger across his face as I approached him, now standing by his side. It wasn’t like being in this house was anything new to either of you but it was the way he was remembering each detail of me that stained my thoughts.
I had seen him be observant before, especially with people he cared about. It was one of the very first things that ever stood out to me about him.
When I had mentioned that I only wear silver jewellery, he made sure to get me a matching bracelet and necklace that was silver.
I mentioned how I like to get a coffee on a Friday after the long weeks and he started showing up with me exact order each Friday before I ever had a chance to object. And if the cafe didn't have the ingredients? He made sure he went somewhere else for it.
But this time it felt slightly different knowing that he was involved in what was a huge part of my life, the buildings finally reminding me of something that wasn't a lost friendship.
-
It had been about an hour of painting between us two and I got most of a room covered in it's first coat of paint. The sunlight etched onto the walls which only enhanced the pink pigments.
I took a small moment to stand back and appreciate the wet coats of paint that had been freshly layered onto the walls.
Matt was finishing up a section of the wall next to me as just as I zone out fully, I get dragged back out again when Matt calls out my name.
"Alyia?" His head is titled, and his body is leant towards mine, subconsciously closing the distance between us.
"Hm? What's up?"
"Can I have some more paint from the tin..I've nearly run out." His voice naturally trails off as his focus turns to the areas he still needs to cover.
I fumbled around a little as I scanned the floors for the tins of pink paint.
I walked quickly through each area of the room, my footsteps echoing on the hardwood floors. I looked on every available space, trying to spot the bright, recognizable colour.
The small paint tin is sat right by the stairs and with a pull of the handle, I lift it up to carry over to Matt. The thin wooden stick pokes out the top of the lid and once I pour the extra liquid in it stirs in the pigments.
Matt's gaze burns into the back of my head, watching the small stirring movements. When I stand up and lift the stick from the floor, the wood smacks on Matt's arm, leaving a trace of baby pink across his skin.
"Oh God, sorry Matt. Fuck I didn't mean to". Panic sets in my chest while I try to fix my mistake.
I grab the tissue box and grip a few at once before turning to Matt once more.
"Hey..Alyia, you're stressing too much. It's just some paint." Suddenly I feel his hand grip my wrist, lowering it ever so slightly.
"A-are you sure?" I was only met with a meek nod and a sincere smile, which did soothe me a little.
"S'ppose so...as long as I can do this" It wasn't long before his own brush swiped the tip of my nose. My nose now felt wet, like a dog's nose. Surprisingly, I didn't hate it.
"Matt! What!" A grimace spread under the paint while I brought out my phone to assess the damage.
It was only a cute little dot, yet enough to stand out against my skin tone. I was brought out of my focus by giggles that Matt desperately failed to hide. He turned his body away from me, but it was obvious he was laughing at me.
“You can be insufferable, yknow..” I grabbed the box of tissues I was going to use on Matt and wiped my own face instead. It felt cold to touch, that feeling spread to the tissue.
As I wiped my face, I failed to realise he had turned back around to face me. The tissue fell to a nearby stack of rubbish, and I sighed as I missed the empty pot I was aiming for.
I grimaced at Matt once I caught his attention again. Which didn’t seem too hard.
“Really. You managed to miss a spot, kid.” He swapped the brush to his left hand and before I could reach my own hand to his face, he did it for me. His touch was gentle, that wasn’t new. His thumb traced the outline of my nose, barely missing my cheeks. He laid his hand on the skin next to it. Unlike the cold paints, my cheeks heated up faster than I could stop it.
“Hey, at least it matches your cheeks now.” It did until he pointed it out. That’s when they faded darker.
“Get outta here bro. Don’t even.” He didn’t even flinch when I swatted his hand away to the side. Anywhere away from what I just experienced. Even if I didn’t quite know what that was.
“Sweetheart. You know I don’t bite right?” He had to refrain from giggling at the situation, a meaningful laugh I hadn’t heard from him in a while.
It never got any easier to hear that nickname fall ever so sweetly from his lips.
“Yeah yeah. Whatever.”
-
It had only been a few minutes since we both managed to compose ourselves, barely. Yet I kept thinking about it like it was the only thing I knew. It was definitely something that I didn’t want to end. So, I didn’t let it.
By now I had swapped the colour on the brush to a jet black to line the walls with. Why not have fun with it.
Quickly, the dark substance drew out a lengthy line on Matt’s arm, missing the previous pink line he left on. For some reason. He jolted backwards with a laugh almost grossed out by the sudden change in stimulation.
“Such a child.” His words held no fire to them, I wondered if he had wanted to. “Says the one who started it.” I use my free hand to point to my nose, patching with paints.
He attempted to swatch another layer of paint onto my skin but he failed. That resulted in drops of paint flicking onto my clothing. Traces of baby pink were now splattered atop the grey jacket that was slipped off my shoulders.
Regret immediately crossed his face. He knew my parents were designers and that I, more than likely, was covered in their articles. Expensive articles.
“Shit. I-“His voice was meek, not being able to read my face as it was tilted away from him. However, he quickly found out how I felt.
The shade of black I was still using soon mimicked the paint on my clothing. It sprayed onto the shirt he was wearing, a simple and plain tee. But the fact it was white made me chuckle.
He let out a sigh of relief once he realised, I wasn’t mad at him for ruining the fabric. Frankly, I didn’t care about any of it. I never cared for anything my mother mad, it was practically the thing that drove us away. Besides her attitude of course.
We acted like children, now running around the room and flinging the paints around. For a moment we forgot about the price of the tins we were now throwing everywhere. All that mattered was ensuring the other was covered in more pops of colour than them.
“Matt, I swear if that gets in my hair.” As quickly as I spoke, he laid eyes on his new target. My hair that was just relaxing on my shoulders now appeared like a botched dye with pink.
“Oops, missed.”
-
After deciding it was better to subside the paints for another day, we laid on the wooden floor beneath us. Making sure we had a clearing that wasn’t obstructed by loose nails or tools.
“Its late...” It wasn’t a hard observation to make, the sky grew dark and was patterned with faint stars. It was the fact you hadn’t expected to lose so much time to paint fights.
“Guess so. You need to head home?” I looked at him with a heavy expression, he got the message.
“They aren’t home…right.” He almost grimaced at the thought of forgetting, sometimes he wished they were home for me more. But that would cut into the sessions we spend together. He chose to be selfish.
“But you have Nick and Chris at home, you gotta be back before Nick yells at you again.” I recalled the last time we stayed out late without making him aware. Safe to say Matt never heard the end of that.
“It’s a bit late for that, I’ve already seen the missed calls.” He seemed so relaxed about that, if I had missed only one call from my mother, she would’ve gone ballistic.
“Cmon, let’s get you back home, yeah?” His voice coaxed me the same as a small child, gentle, sweet.
The strong places of the stairs were memorised by now which made our exit quicker. Some of the thorns previously stomped down by Matt remained pressed into the ground. When one thorn gripped my skin and scrapped it, he insisted he went in front again. As if my skin and clothing wasn’t damaged enough.
He took a small glance back when he heard me playing a small quiet tune from my phone. I simply put my playlist of shuffle, but it obviously peaked Matt’s interest.
“Turn that shit up, kid.”
“You fuck with Kid Cudi?” He gave me a nod as if it was obvious, but I shrugged it off and ‘turned that shit up’
The music continued into the car ride back, I didn’t want to insist I could walk home. I knew he’d win no matter what I did. My head bopped to the music, zoning out at the window. We were in silence the whole ride back towards my house. I wasn’t uncomfortable, however. The music filled any awkwardness, if there was any. There was only one thing that I seemed nervous about, which was getting paint on the seats of is vehicle. I knew most of it had air dried by now, I just knew that car seats were expensive to replace. I know the exact price because anytime that I drove my parents’ car, I always ‘messed something up’ and had to replace it. I didn’t want to seem as someone who wasn’t capable of anything, so I stopped driving it after that.
Familiar streets seemed to appear, and we both knew it would only be a few minutes before we arrived at my place. The radio was cranked down until it became background sound for us both. I looked at Matt who had one hand placed on the wheel while the other rested on his thigh. His fingers twitched slightly, and I noticed pretty quickly that he was mimicking the drums from the song playing.
I hadn’t realised we had pulled up until Matt spoke for the first time in a while.
“Alyia? We’re back at your house.” He tilted his head closer to mine to make sure that I heard him. I did.
“Oh yeah right. Thanks for dropping me off.” My body slid back towards the door and pushed it open. Once I grabbed all my belongings, I walked around the car to see Matt. The window separating until he pulled it down.
He looked at me expectantly. Why did I never realise how icy his eyes looked.
“Need anything sweetheart?” I swallowed harshly and pushed myself away from the door. “Nope, just..thanks again. For the supplies, paints and the dri-“
He raised his fingers and put them inches away from my lips. “If I hear another thank you come from your mouth, I swear Aliya. I’d do it again no matter what you say.” He smirked at me, and it did ease a few concerns, now pushed to the back of my throat.
“Look, just because you’re used to apologizing and feeling like everything is your fault doesn’t mean that’s true. You don’t have to thank me every minute. You can relax around me. I don’t bite.” He looked down at where the window fell into the door, tracing the tip of the glass before finally making eye contact with me. He seemed almost apologetic for pointing out how my parents made me act. To be honest, I had been sorry about that for longer than he did.
I didn’t reply, I didn’t have to. I kept looking at him with a stupid smile on my face. The same I had while in the grove mere hours ago.
“See you in school?” I finally trusted my voice to speak but it was timid. “I’ll see you in the morning, yeah?” My head nodded and I stood up onto the curb, pacing back to my house.
Shit.
My parent’s car is there. If they see me like this, I’m screwed. That’s it, I’m grounded. I won’t be able to-
I cut my thoughts of when I heard footsteps, they were heavier and dragged ever so slightly on the carpet. My dad.
“Alyia, are you home, I’ve been worried sick.” He quickly trailed off once he saw the state of me, paints covered a lot of my clothing, even the ends of my hair were dishevelled. I hung low, expecting yelling to follow quickly.
“Upgrading your mother’s work?” He laughed. He wasn’t mad at me? “Just go clean up before your mother sees, alright. Make sure you either clean those or throw them. As much as I love the experimentation, I’m not sure that your mother would approve.” With that he walked past me and wondered into the kitchen. I wasn’t willing to risk the chance of my mother seeing the way I destroyed her works. As much as I’m willing to do that all over again.
-
Matt’s pov:
I stayed there for a few minutes, leaning back into the leather. The music was chirping softly. I should’ve left, I watched her get in safely, but I just couldn’t move. I wasn’t waiting for her to run back out and ignore her home life. I wasn’t even watching the door. Traces of paint covered my hands, and I couldn’t help but stare. I tried to run my fingers over it, but the heat of my palm scrapped away a few spots.
By the lights on in the driveway, I knew Nick was awake. I felt bad that I let him stay up again, I just hoped that Chris wasn’t up as well.
“Matthew. Taking your sweet time staying out again. I knew you had the band shit, but we both know it doesn’t last thi- My god, what the fuck happened to you!” He was blunt and straight to the point, he always was but that didn’t make the words he said any easier to hear. I knew he was mad, anyone could figure that out.
He pushed down his glasses and held the bridge of his nose, taking all the clothing in one by one.
“Practicing music doesn’t require baby pink and black paint, what did you do?” He grabbed my shirt and tugged on it. “White. Really?”
I smirked pathetically “Its just some paints, I didn’t care, and I still don’t.”
“You’re lucky that I love you, kid. Just have a shower, its late.” He shook my shoulder as I walked forwards the kitchen for a drink. My eyes met Chris’s through the hallway, he had a weird smile on his face. He smirked at me and raised his eyebrows; I was talking to an actual child.
“I take it you were out with Alyia?” His tone pissed me off, acting like all I did was talk to or about Aliya. I wanted to but that doesn’t mean I did.
“Oh, shut it.” Chris simply shrugged and retreated to his room, humming a song that had been stuck in his head a few days.
During my shower I noticed an obvious change in the water colour, especially when I got rid of the black lines up my arms. No other lights than mine remained on and it made me realise how late I actually stayed out.
Fatigue had hit my system by now and having that hot shower only managed to relax me further. My phone screen lit up the room as I got a message. The quiet vibrations were the only sounds I had heard since the car radio.
My body slumped next to it and stared at it until the screen faded black. I held the phone in hand and since my room was almost pitch black at this point it failed to use face id. After I failed numerous times to fill in my password, I scrolled up to see who had messaged me.
Alyia🎸:
*Sent 1 attachment*
‘Youre lucky my mother didn’t see lmao.’
A photo? I don’t think I’ve ever seen her take photos, let alone send one to me. It didn’t take long for me to click on it.
It wasn’t exactly a selfie and now I understood her sending the photo. The most that I could see of her face was her lips that curled into a neat smile. Locks of hair flowed past her shoulders, and I could see she hadn’t cleaned up just yet, her jacket lay just below her shoulders which allowed the remaining fabric to bunch at her wrists. The selfie was taken from up high just so she could present the paint in one go. Her skirt remains hugging her hips that hadn’t moved from before. I assessed the amount of paint that had been sprayed and was still covering her hands. A light smile covered my face
I stared longer than I should have, I didn’t have the fear of being caught by her real form. I never had the urge to before. I had no idea why I was now.
I don’t respond immediately, and I know that she can see that I’m online, that takes a second to seep in.
Matt🥁:
‘Nick caught me, scolded the fact I was wearing white more than anything.’
Alyia🎸:
‘Frankly, that doesn’t shock me. I better go get this shit out of my hair. Cya kid.’ I just hearted the message and left my phone on the duvet. Light rain began to scatter my window, and I was thankful I wasn’t outside in it. My hand raised itself to my face and I tried to wipe away the weird feeling in my chest. I just hoped sleep would wear it away.

Being in Hellfire Club HCs
These are mostly for myself to have consistency in my fics.
-Eddie is the one to approach any potential new members. He's been recruiting for 2 years now, and he's very selective. But he can also sniff out a freak a mile away.
-Being part of Hellfire comes with a certain level of protection. Eddie is more than happy to be the big bad wolf to protect his sheep members. Most people leave Hellfire alone because they think Eddie will snap.
-There are the core members of the club (Eddie, Jeff, Gareth, Mike, Dustin, and un-named member who I am calling Zack), as well as subs. Subs are people who were curious and usually approached Eddie first. They have a passing interest, but not enough to risk being associated with the freaks.
-Everyone in Hellfire has cut class at least once to take a nap in Eddie's van.
-Everyone in the club knows that Eddie deals but unless they have intent to buy they keep their mouth shut.
-Eddie won't sell to freshmen. Period.
-The club doesn't do much outside of school. Of course, Corroded Coffin has band practice but that's about it.
-Once in a blue moon they will do "side quest day". The club will go to the arcade and play games and if they manage to impress Eddie, he might give them a buff or inspiration for the next session. This rarely happens though.
-Eddie runs a very tight ship with Hellfire. If you're committed to being part of the club outside of being a sub, you better take it seriously. You absolutely are required to wear the shirt during the school day. He's definitely given out punishments for not wearing the shirt
-He isn't unreasonable though. If you can give him a good reason why you can't do something he's willing to work with you. Eddie has the respect of his club for a reason.
-They absolutely are not allowed to be lighting candles in the prop department, but they do anyway.
-Eddie's chair is his and his alone. Don't try and sit in it. (*If no one else is around you might be able to get away with it. Just don't try it in front of the whole club.)
-Everyone got really into playing cards at lunch for about a month, betting snacks until a teacher shut that down. Sometimes they'll still try and play after school.
-Most of the club has been playing the same character for years from level one. Eddie prefers a clean slate character. Subs are able to create characters closer to where everyone is.
-if you're joining late in the game, you can create a leveled character, but you'll be a few levels behind everyone until you prove yourself.
-If you need to get up and move around a bit during the session, that's alright, but there is a clear line that you can't cross. Try and peak behind the screen and you're in trouble.
-You don't need to have the Advanced Dungeons and Dragons handbook memorized, but he expects at least basic knowledge if you're serious about the club. You absolutely need to understand your character race and class
-Eddie is not afraid of 'rule of cool' if you can sell your point hard enough. He isn't a full rules lawyer, but he isn't here to make this easy. Fun? Yes. Challenging? Frustratingly so.
-There has been a blow out fights over rules before. Tensions were running high with midterms and everyone having a shitty day. Someone's character died, Hellfire was cut short that night as everyone went and cooled off. That was the one time that Eddie scrapped a session and agreed to a do-over.
-Eddie is easier to talk to one-on-one outside of club. He's genuine with his love for Hellfire, but he's more likely to let his walls down when it's just him and someone else.
-He used to skip class a lot, but has been genuinely trying to graduate now. Now he only skips maybe once or twice a month.
-Gareth isn't allowed to have his drumsticks at the table anymore.

“You need to eat something, Carolina – “ My mother’s voice straining. “You’re withering away to that of a corpse.”
The thought of eating anything at this point, especially the pickled beetroot, was enough to make me want to vomit. I moved the spoon around in the liquid, playing with it as if I were still a child. You really don’t feel like eating after watching the love of your life be lowered into the hard, cold ground.
I leaned back in the chair, crossing my arms over my chest. “I’m not hungry.” Mother darting her gaze in my direction. “Thank you anyway, Mother.”
I knew her patience with me was starting to wane, her emotions taking a direct hit as well. I didn’t want to do anything – eat, bathe, talk – I just wanted to be left alone and that was killing her to see. My father on the other hand just pushed everything to the side, whispering to mother that this too shall pass. He had fought in the Great War – seeing many of his fellow colleagues and friends shot down right in front of him. He knew the tolls of war and what they could do to someone’s psyche, especially the wives of the soldiers that never made it home. To him, this was a natural part of life. To my father, Gale was taken for a reason that we didn’t have any business knowing. It was his time to go and there was nothing that any of us could do about it.
She took a seat at the table across from me, pushing her greying hair from her face. The air was silent between us, neither her nor I making direct eye contact. She finally broke the ice, clearing her throat before speaking,
“Carolina –“She took a short pause as she gathered her words. “I won’t tell you that I know how you’re feeling right now because I’ve never had to deal with such tragedy, but I can’t stand seeing you act this way, darling.” Tears brimming her lined eyes. “You're love for Gale is something that I admire greatly and I know he was your everything if not more –“I narrow my eyes as she speaks. “But you can’t keep pushing yourself down this rabbit hole of self-neglect and mourning.”
I was appalled – dumbfounded that she would even say such a thing.
“He was you're first love – and while that is important – you are still young, and I don’t want to see your beauty go to waste.”
“I just buried my husband less than four hours ago and you’re telling me that I need to suck it up and go find another man?” My voice low. “Do you know how ridiculous you sound right now?”
She was taken back by my question – her eyes squinting at my argument. “I just want what’s best for you, Ca-“
“No-“ I cut her off. “I’m not gonna sit here and be lectured by someone who’s never been through what I’m going through at this moment.” My voice quivering with anger. “Gale was the love of my life – and I’m sorry if you’ve never felt that way towards Daddy, but there’s no man on this planet that could ever fill Gale’s shoes and there never will be.”
My chair scrapped against the hardwood floor as I jump up to leave. I could hear her calls as I marched back to the bedroom, slamming the door with all my might. The sobs that I had held back escaped as I slid to the floor – my knees curling into my chest as the tears streamed down my face.
I didn’t even cry when they lowered his casket into the ground.
The shock of that being the last image of Gale that I would ever see again sending my body into a hypnotic state. My mother’s words finally breaking the damn open – my anger allowing the floodgates to open…
Tumblr media
“You see that soldier over there – “Her painted finger pointing in the man’s direction. “I bet you I can get him to ask me to dance during the next song.”
I rolled my eyes as I sipped on my coke, watching as Brenda and the other girls at the table laughed and flirted with the man in question. He was tall and dark headed – not really that handsome – but that was for her to worry about. Brenda Cogsworth was a girl that my mother forced me to be around. Her mother and my mother had grown up together, becoming friends while our fathers were fighting in the First World War. The Cogsworth family had money, but class was missed with their precious Brenda. She was wild as a stallion, kissing ever boy that looked in her direction. I wouldn’t be surprised if she ended up knocked up or infected by a disease that Penicillin couldn’t cure.
“Why aren’t you putting yourself out there, Carolina?”
Brenda smirked to her friends as she waited for my reply. It was obvious they were teasing - knowing that I hadn’t spoken to a single fella since I arrived. My mother had forced me to come to the dance – telling me that I needed to be cordial – silently demanding that I find a future husband. Initially, I was a very shy person, but I opened like a flower in the Spring once I got to know someone. By coming to dances such as these, I didn’t think I was up to par with the other ladies, such as Brenda and her gaggle of friends. They had bright blonde hair and smooth skin – I had dirty blonde hair and chastity pustules that would pop up during my flow. My mother always made sure I was well dressed but you must have a pretty face, not just a nice dress to get a soldier to notice you these days.
I kept quiet as I watched the man in question smile to his friends before sauntering towards our table. He removed his cap, tucking it under his arm, as he slicked back his already oiled hair. He introduced himself, taking Brenda’s hand in his, pressing a kiss against her skin. The table swooned as they watched the events they had just discussed unfold, quietly celebrating as the solider lifted Brenda was from the table and onto the dance floor. I guess you would call them good friends for being happy for her, but these girls were calculative. They would be happy for you to your front, but their bodies were raging with envy. They all wished they could be Brenda at that moment – dancing away with a soldier that you’d be lucky to see again once the war was over.
“Now he’s a looker.”
I followed the glances of the girls as they watched the man walk towards the bar. He was dressed in slacks and a collared shirt – his blonde hair positioned in a tousled fashion.
They were right – he was very attractive – too attractive to be from around here. I watched as he spoke with another male – his smile big and bright – as he laughed at their words. The girls continued to whisper about him, telling each other to make the first move before someone else decides too.
“If you ladies will excuse me.” I took one last sip before standing up, smoothing down my dress before turning towards the gentleman. I don’t know what had gotten into me – the fact that I was tired of being the butt of their jokes – or the gumption of just trying to find out if I could confront someone of the opposite sex. My mother always told me it was the man’s place to approach for the first time. Make him do the work as you sit back and bask in the attention.
Mother’s rule went flying out the window that night.
I let out a deep breath, my hand reaching out to tap his shoulder. His friends were the first to notice me, grinning at me as the man I had sought out slowly turned around. He was about a foot taller than me – his blue eyes connected with mine.
“Hello –“My cheeks blushing. “I’m Carolina Davies.”
His eyes trailed down my body – his friends snickering as they nursed their drinks. “Carolina?” His voice deep. “Like North Carolina?”
The tone of his voice having a hint of tease, “Yeah.” My confidence starting to slowly deflate as he looked at his friends, knocking into each other as they laughed.
“Not to be a drag or anything, Carolina-“He paused as he stood a little straighter. “But your looks aren’t doing it for me, sweetheart.” He spoke matter of fact. “Sorry if me looking over at the table you were sitting at made you think that I was interested in you –“Another pause. “But I was looking at the girl you were sitting next to – the pretty one.”
I could feel tears welling in my eyes as the shame and embarrassment draped over me. I had just made a complete fool of myself – knowing damn well that I should’ve just kept my butt in that chair.
I didn’t bother saying anything else to him – there was nothing to say to be honest. I just gave him a small smile before excusing myself. The girls I had been sitting with watching the interaction, hiding their smiles as I walked by.
My stride grew faster as I pushed past the dancing couples, needing the immediate feel of fresh air on my skin. I felt like an utter fool – a reject – ugly.
The cool autumn air provided me a sense of relief as my body pressed against the brick wall of the hall. I ignored the glances of those that were entering, wiping away the stale tear that would occasionally drop from my lashes.
“Carolina?”
My eyes darting over to the man standing to the right of me. “Carolina, right?” His smile growing as I looked at him confused.
I nodded, “Yeah?” My voice weary.
He took a step closer – his facial features coming to light as he stood under the singular bulb. His smile started to fall slightly as he ran a hand through his blonde hair. “Just wanted to make sure you were okay.” He shuffled his feet. “Saw what those guys did back there – should’ve never happened.”
Silence struck me – my brain trying to wrap around the words he was saying.
“I’m Gale Cleven.” A twinkle showing in his blue eyes.
“Carolina Davies.” My voice cracking.
His charming smile reappeared causing the theoretical butterflies to migrate around my stomach. He was very handsome – much more attractive than the guy at the bar. “Beautiful name for a gorgeous girl.”
Tumblr media
I watched as the birds hopped around the yard – pulling the early worm from the soggy ground. The weather mimicked my mood – dark and grey – the sun disappearing the morning of Gale’s funeral. It had been over a week – a long week – full of sympathetic gestures and “I’m so sorry for your loss” sentiments. I had sent my parents away two days ago – no longer able to take their constant supervision – hiding sharp objects and medications so I wouldn’t harm myself in anyway.
I constantly thought about it though.
Just a flick of the blade one right way or a handful of the right pills – Gale and I would be reunited, and the worries of the world would dissipate. I could never get the gumption to do it. I was positive that Gale was looking down on me – just the way the wind would blow a certain way – or a red cardinal sitting on the fence that sat in front of the kitchen window. He wouldn’t want me to reach that level of despair. He would want me to go one and be happy, but it’s hard to do so when your heart is breaking into a million pieces. It’s hard to remain happy when lying in bed, reaching across to the spot where he once slept – the sheets cold – the empty void of waking up alone every morning.
The distant sound of a truck pulled me away from my thoughts – the familiar black Ford kicking up dust as it came closer. I let out a sigh, pulling Gale’s shirt tighter around my body, hiding the thin lace of my nightgown from John’s view.
“Morning, Carolina.” His gruff voice sounding as he removed himself from the driver’s side.
I stayed silent – rolling my eyes at the sight of him. I had gotten rid of everyone except him – John was like a piece of lint that just kept popping up – no matter how many times you swept – he still lingered long after.
My eyes glanced over as he walked to the back of the truck, pulling two suitcases from the bed. Worn leather and seeing better days, he placed them on the wooden steps. “Good to see you getting some fresh air.”
Pushing out of the rocker, I retreated into the house, the screen door slamming against the frame. Muttered words slipped past his lips; his boots heavy as he followed my direction. I had made myself a pot of coffee earlier, forgetting about it until reaching the kitchen. Pouring the dark liquid into my cup and the rest down the drain, not up to sharing with the likes of John Egan. I took a seat at the table – our eyes connecting over the coffee cup as he entered the room. Silence blanketed the room as he leaned against the counter, his gaze focused on the backyard.
“Why are you still coming around?”
His neck turning – our eyes meeting once again. “Pardon?”
Sitting up a little straighter, Gale’s shirt opening slightly as I moved. “I said –“My tone low. “Why are you still coming around? He’s dead and gone – your services around here are no longer warranted.”
“And what services might those be?” His jaw clenching.
A loud sigh blew through my nose, “Those of the mighty hero – the devoted friend – the courageous major who led his team out of the trenches. Only thing –“ I paused. “You weren’t brave enough to take the bullet yourself, letting your dear friend, Buck, take the lead instead. That’s a real heroic act if you ask me, Mr. Egan.”
The words dripped with venom – John’s eyes burning with utter rage as the room acquired a deafening silence. His diaphragm moving at a rapid rate as the anger coursed through his body – his fist balled together as he resisted the temptation to start swinging.
I struck a nerve – Gale’s death was the nail that was hammered into John’s figurative coffin on the daily. The thoughts of seeing his friend being shot down – only following his commands to go over the wall to a hopeful escape. Seeing Gale’s lifeless body lying on the snow-covered ground as blood seeped from the open wounds – John deserved to see that every time he closed his eyes.
“I never claimed to be a fucking hero, Lina.” His voice thick with emotion.
I rolled my eyes at the mention of the nickname he had given me. Crossing my arms in a defensive motion as he stepped close to where I sat.
His knees cracking as he crouched down, his blues level with mine.
“You think hiding behind this hateful wall is gonna make you feel better? Sayin hateful things to the people who are just trying to help you?”
My eyes narrowed.
“Get off your high horse, little girl. Your husband was my best friend – the only person that kept me going during those God-awful days at that fucking camp. You think you’re the only one hurting – honey, you don’t even know the half of it.”
Our faces were centimeters away – his eyes searching mine for a reaction.
Kicking my leg out as I stood, I bumped purposely into his body as I retreated to the front entrance. His bags still sitting by the door – no reason at all why they should even be in the house to begin with.
Taking each case in my hands, kicking open the screen door, I haphazardly tossed them into the muddy yard – a smile forming as they landed with a splash in the dirty water.
The thunderous sound of his footsteps met my ears, his jaw slacked at the sight of his things lying in the yard.
“What the fuck is wrong with you?” I couldn’t help but laugh, watching as he raced down the steps, pulling the leather out of the puddle, water dripping as he held it away from himself.
It was the first time I had laughed since the news of Gale’s death – coming at the misery and expense of John Egan.

187 and 7 for anakin 😈
prompt: #187
prompt list | rules
minors dni 18+
word count: 0.9k | character(s): tcw!anakin skywalker x f!reader
notes: specifically written for the clone wars' characterization of anakin. i chose to go with #187 bcos ive been needing an excuse to make this specific idea happen lmao i hope u like it
warnings: light gambling, no smut, strip game, youre barely clothed in front of clones (implied), you're wearing a bralette mention, commander!reader, no y/n
Tumblr media
"General Skywalker,” a trooper beckons, catching up with the striding officer to fall into step with him.
“Lieutenant.” Anakin greets with a nod. The pair pass by compatriots, ignoring the bustle of their surroundings as they share a conversation.
“Some advice, sir?”
Anakin quirks a brow, regarding the lieutenant with a side glance. “You’re asking?”
“The Commander, sir, she cleans us out every time we play scraps, and we’re almost sure she’s—“
“Cheating?” That’s well within your character, so much so it makes him scoff. You’re clever, and not to say his boys aren’t. They have more integrity than you.
The trooper remains uneasy, as if he’s implicated a higher ranking official by tattling to his battalion general. “Yeah… Er, yes, sir.” The only reason he came to Anakin was because of the close nature of his relationship with the Commander.
“It’s loaded dice, Lieutenant.” Anakin replies, certain without the need to check. He’s aware of your past, and how you use it to take advantage of those too trusting. Playing dishonestly in some light gambling isn’t the worst thing you’ve gotten away with. The thought of it pulls the other end of his lips into a smile. A devious plan forming in his head while his clone trooper bangs his fist against his palm in eureka.
“Ah, ha! Perfect, I’ll go tell the boys—“ That tone of triumph within the trooper, paired with his near escape, snaps Anakin’s mind to the present. His hand shoots out, clutching onto his subordinate’s upper arm, effectively arresting him.
“Lieutenant.”
Again, he’s nervous in his answer. “… Yes? Sir?”
Anakin’s close, lowering his voice so as to keep the matter between them. “Why don’t you let me handle this?”
“Oh, no way I’m playing scraps with a Jedi.” you interject as soon as your eyes lay on the smug face of Anakin Skywalker entering the room, cutting through the group of clones. You slump in your chair, crossing your arms.
“Not to worry, Commander,” Anakin draws a chair to sit down. “You have my word I won’t cheat.” he pronounces the word while holding your gaze, and you jerk your head away. Aside from being suspicious he’s remarkably accusatory, you’re worried his disapproval is driving him to expose your operation to humiliate you. It’s annoying how high of a horse he sits on. Anakin glances between the others at this little table, “Mind if I join?”
“—Not at all, General,”
“—‘Course not.”
The troopers reply, however you can smell the tension caused by their superior catching them in the act of partaking in a gambling game. Not just their boss, but a force sensitive as well. His word may be currency within the Order, but here it means jack when real money’s on the line. Luckily, the game only needs two to play.
You roll your eyes in reluctant compliance, and land all four legs of your chair onto the ground with a bang. Anakin remains unperturbed. In fact, he’s unwaveringly staring you down, awaiting your next move. So you oblige him, leaning forward to sweep your red pair of dice off the table into your hand. “Alright, well, you know the rules. Roll a seven, and you get the pot—“
Quick to interrupt you, you frown at the General for his outburst, “Unfortunately, I don’t have any money.”
You slow, and scoff in disbelief at his audacity. “So, why are you wasting my time then?” The foul disposition he created by inviting himself to this table is worsened by how obvious it is he’s keen on tripping you up.
“I thought we’d roll for a strip.” he responds. His body language is cool, and open. Curled forward with a palm on his thigh and his elbow resting on the surface. As if he’s so comfortable with offering that up, as if you’d take it. You roll your jaw while you consider it. When you take too long, his gaze sweeps across the crowding onlookers of clones. “Don’t you wanna give the boys a show?” There’s murmuring amongst the throng, and now you’ll look like a coward for refusing. Besides, there’s no way Anakin would win with a pair of dice like these.
You straighten, the dice noisily shaking in your fist, “Get ready to leave in your underwear, Skywalker.”
On dramatic cue, Anakin tucks his hand in between the layers of his robes, to retrieve a pair of white dice from his breast pocket.
“Actually, Commander, I want to use these. They’re lucky.” A phrase that derailed your confidence as easily as tipping over the first domino. Talking a big game, winning as much as you had before, it’d be obvious you weren’t playing fair as soon as you roll with these. However, you can’t deny it now or else look completely guilty.
Anakin witnesses you visibly shift in expression, adjusting in your seat to call attention away from it as you clear your throat. That cocky energy dissolves before his eyes as you shove your own lucky charms into your pants, and silently ask for his with an outstretched palm. He pours them into your hand.
It isn’t long at all before you sit, cold, in your metal chair. Disrobed and bare, save for your panties and bralette. You tap your arm impatiently, the stressed vein pronounced in the skin of your forehead as you pray on Anakin’s downfall for revenge. He cares not, delighted even, as he collects his winning die from the table one by one.
It’s what you get for taking advantage of his battalion.

Hello, can you write a OTM drabble about Wanda and Reader's first date?
The Beginning
warnings: alcohol, allusions to sex, Wanda being a massive flirt
a/n: why haven’t I written this before??? An elite request
word count: 954
-
First impressions were everything. They took milliseconds to form and years to corrode. They were the foundation of relationships, and bad foundations cause cracks.
You were off to a terrible start.
There were excuses you could make, sure. Stories to justify your lateness. Traffic, work, wardrobe malfunctions. But those wouldn’t be of any use by the time you’d get there.
The foundation had surely already crumbled to the ground.
Even the host gave you a look of contempt when you gave him your name. Still, upon noticing the flushed skin of your cheeks and slightly out of place hair, not a scrap of sympathy was offered.
You’d like to think that it was because time was money in a restaurant like this. Reservations stretching months in advance. Empty seats treated the same way as a skipped bill. Though you were smart enough to know that wasn’t the case for you.
First impressions also stretched to the wait staff.
-
You couldn’t help but be acutely aware of your sweating palms. The brisk walk from your car wasn’t helped by the fact it was parked a block away. The world seemingly against you in every aspect. You wiped your hands anxiously down the sides of your dress.
The waiter that seated you did a relatively good job at ignoring the empty chair and half drunk wine. But having to stick to policy, did inform you that if food wasn’t ordered within twenty minutes they would have to ask you to leave. Naturally you asked for the wine menu.
It was when you were mulling over the Chablis and the Chardonnay that you saw her. It was like a movie. One of those cheesy romantic ones where the main character turns around and sees the love interest in slow motion. Hair blowing in an artificial breeze. Light hitting their skin perfectly with not a squint to be seen.
Her auburn hair brushed her shoulders. Gentle ripples of ember, curled delicately. Intricately. As if sculpted especially to reflect the candle light emitted from the centerpieces of other diners tables.
With each step you noticed more of her. Smooth skin. Not a blemish in sight. Appart from a few freckles decorating her face. Beauty marks living up to their name.
But it was her eyes that had you. Hook line and sinker.
You’d never seen anything so green. Emeralds and fresh grass would fight for the chance to be so vibrant. Large and welcoming. Every emotion she had would shine through those eyes. All you wanted to do was make her smile and see if they crinkle at the corners.
You stood as she approached, ready to greet her with your hand outstretched. Completely prepared to be ignored and be left standing alone, embarrassed and ashamed. But when she grabbed your hand and leant in to kiss your cheek, your knees buckled.
“Sorry I’m so late, I-“
“It’s fine, seriously. Anyway it gave me time to tell them you’ll be paying. And just to let you know, I’ve got a real craving for lobster”
You were in love. From that moment. When her warm hand was in yours and her soft lips that left a lipgloss mark on your cheek. That playful smirk that will be forever ingrained in your mind.
You were a goner.
-
The end of the night came too fast.
After easy conversations about college, work and various embarrassing stories about mutual friends, you found it difficult to want to leave.
Yet the cold air of the evening eventually hit your face. Tampering down your smitten induced blush with less efficiency than you would’ve hoped. Perhaps you could blame it on the one too many glasses of wine.
“Well, now Clint can add matchmaker to his list of unexpected talents” Wanda said so casually you nearly didn’t catch it.
It took you aback, in all honesty. Her confidence. Her ability to make you speechless with just one sentence.
“Do you not agree?” she proceeded.
“Yeah, no, he should definitely add that to his resume, for sure”
You didn’t even register the fact she had gotten closer to you. The noise of her heels barely audible over the cars passing. It was only when you could smell her perfume up close that you supposedly snapped back into action.
“What I’m trying to say is, I think we should do this again. If you want to?”
“I want to” you rushed out. “Or we could go for a drink somewhere, now I mean”
There was that smirk again. The gloss on her lips barely removed through her eating and drinking.
“As much as I’d like that, I fear if I drink any more, I’ll want to fuck you. And I’m afraid I don’t fuck on the first date”
Jesus Christ. You’d died and gone to heaven. You could feel the arousal strumming through your body at just the thought of her being in your apartment.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean-“
She cut you off with another kiss to your cheek. Almost the same as the one in the restaurant, but this had a promise attached to it. A heavy sense of anticipation lining the edges.
She pulled back too soon. Missing the warmth of her. Your eyes fluttering open to find her writing her number on a receipt she pulled out of her purse.
“I don’t fuck on the second either. But for you I might make an exception”
You were overwhelmed. Voice caught in your throat as you watched her walk away. Zoning in on how the hem of her skirt brushed her legs with each step.
You had to catch yourself before the lipstick clad receipt slipped from your fingers and flew away in the breeze.

Matchup trade for @sugutoad
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Attack on Titan Matchup~
I ship you with... YMIR!!!!
Tumblr media
Not gonna lie, this was a close call. I was STUCK between two characters to pair you with, and ultimately it came down to who I believe would be more your “type” (Erwin) VS who could meet both your emotional needs (Ymir).
On the surface, Ymir comes off as rather self-centered and harsh. She doesn’t hold back on critiquing others, and the language she uses can make it feel like she is verbally attacking you. Deep down, however, Ymir is an incredibly caring person. While her delivery may lack tact, her goal of pushing others to be true and honest with themselves is genuine. Having once lived a lie for the sake of others, she wishes to save others from suffering the life she once had.
Perhaps in the beginning you'd feel slighted by her clumsy attempts at getting you to be less self-conscious. However, after growing closer and getting to know her better, I feel you would take her words less at face value and more for what they are meant to be. She would help you become more confident, and not be afraid to speak up for yourself. In turn I feel like you can help Ymir to be just a tad bit gentler with others. Just a bit.
(Also, we're just gonna ignore the fact that she's living on borrowed time and pretend she gets to live a long healthy life)
Runner-up: Erwin Smith
How you met
It was mere coincidence you two crossed paths. You had been relaxing on the patio of a tearoom, minding your own business, lost in a book. The weather was nice: sunny sky with a few clouds floating by, a cool breeze offering a reprieve of fresh air. A far-off commotion caught your interest for just a moment, before disinterest had you returning to the world recorded in black ink on creamy pages. The loud screech of a chair scrapping on cement startled you into high alert, and you looked up to find a hooded woman hunched over the other side of the table with her back to the road.
“No one’s sitting here, right?” She asks, shooting you a smile. It’s a bit of a redundant question now that she’s seated next to you. Shock briefly robs you of voice, and unable to answer any other way you simply shake your head no.
“Great!” The mysterious woman chirps, resting her cheek on her fist. Without missing a beat, she asks, “What’cha reading?” You were hesitant to answer at first. You didn’t know this woman, and to be quite frank, she was giving off shady vibes. But the politeness your parents instilled in you kicked in, and you politely answered her.
The rest of the evening passed like that, the mysterious woman pelting you with question after question. The mood shifted from awkward and tense to more relaxed and natural. You fall into a spiel where you go on and on about your thoughts on the characters, your input on the events happening in the story, and your own predictions for what is yet to come. Where once the woman was poking and probing at your thoughts with a seeming purpose, she now does it out of genuine interest and curiosity.
You two were so caught up in your own little world you missed the group of law enforcement barreling down the road in search of your mysterious new friend. It wasn’t until the sun was setting and you realized how long you’d been out that you two parted ways. You found yourself crossing paths with her numerous times after that. Too many to be coincidence, if you were completely honest with yourself. And every time you crossed paths, the two of you would wind up back at that tearoom, chatting the day away. Eventually you learned her name is Ymir.
Confession
Ymir has always been forward, though her feelings were never quite framed as serious. Up until now, you’d always take her declarations of devotion and intentions to marry as a joke.
It wasn’t until she followed you into the scouts, graduating from training and joining the Survey Corp, that she genuinely confessed her feelings to you. You two had wandered away from the mess hall into one of the woodsier areas of the training grounds.
Ymir seemed to be a bit more in her head than usual, but she responded in her usual way of teasing you with dry quips and sarcastic jokes. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary.
It wasn’t until you two came across a clearing that a different kind of tension developed. The dark sky was decorated with a splattering of diamond-esque stars, so deep and vast you almost feel you could fall right in. You’re staring up into the sky, mesmerized by the sight, when out of the blue you hear “I love you.” Three simple little words, ones you’ve heard from Ymir before on multiple occasions. And yet this time it feels different. There isn’t the same levity to it, no out given to brush it off as Ymir just “being Ymir”.
Slowly you turn you head and find her staring right at you, a strangely soft look in her eyes. One that makes your stomach knot, a million butterflies fluttering about in nervous frenzy. Ymir repeats herself, voice gentle and sincere. In this moment you know she is vulnerable, being completely honest with both you and herself.
And so, you answer in kind: “I love you too.”
Headcanons
Ymir loves it when you go on one of your rambling tirades. Sometimes, she’ll bring up a random topic and try to start a debate just so she can stare at you lovingly while you go on and on. Occasionally she’ll make a quip or a tease in the middle of what you’re saying, or make a counter argument, just to make sure you don’t run out of steam.
She HAAATTEESSS that you hesitate to ask for something you want or need, and that you fear being seen as selfish for it. Ymir is all about being true to one’s self and not holding back from even the most selfish of desires. If she notices you hesitating to speak up on something you need, she’ll call you out and then ask for it in your stead.
Ymir shares your love language of physical touch, and she gives such signs of affection to you freely. Even before becoming “official”, Ymir would often sling an arm around your shoulders and press you nice and snug against her side. Hugs and kisses are also given freely. She is a HUGE cuddler. When sleeping, she'll wrap herself around you like an octopus an act like a second blanket. Sometimes she'll murmur in her sleep, and you'll be giggling all night at the imaginary arguments she has in her dreams.
3 Ship Tropes
Sarcastic bastard with a heart of gold (Ymir) x Shy sweet pea (You)
“I will die for you” (Ymir) x “I will not let you die, I will not let myself die, we will survive at any cost” (you)
Friends to lovers
Family & Children
Ymir strikes me as something of a fence-sitter who leans more towards being child free. Despite her inner caring nature, Ymir's previous life as a false descendant of “Goddess Ymir” would make her hesitant to take up something as important as raising a child. A lot of self-sacrifice and giving needs to go into it child-rearing, both of which would make Ymir grow nervous and antsy. It would take someone special to get her thinking about having little tots of her own.
Ultimately, I believe Ymir would feel safe and comfortable enough with you to give in to the call to parenthood.
Initially you both intended to adopt only one child. However, after coming across a small group of ragtag siblings, you and Ymir fell in love with the little trio. Not having the heart to separate them, you and Ymir took all three into your home and raised them as your own.
Joanne Lee: A curious girl with wavy dark brown hair and bright brown eyes. She is the oldest of the siblings, and a bit of a know-it-all book worm. She can go on for hours and hours, asking silly questions and reciting interesting trivia she learned in school or from books. Joanne takes her role as the oldest sibling very seriously. She prides herself as something of a leader for the other two, a role model so to speak, and does her best to set a good example for them. As such, it is much to her dismay that her little brother constantly finds himself getting into trouble, often unintentionally dragging her into his hairy schemes as well.
Zachary Lee: The middle child, and the only boy out of the three. He has dark brown hair, large brown eyes, freckles and a perpetual pout.  Zachary can be a bit of a hothead at times and is quite protective, those two traits of his leading him into a lot of trouble. His irritation with Joanne’s constant mothering leads him to squabble with his older sister quite a lot.
Marina Lee: Sweet little Marina, with her wavy brown hair and big hazel eyes, is the youngest of the three. She is also the quietest, and far smaller than most her age. She can most often be found tailing Joanne or Zachary, hiding behind their legs. It takes her a moment to warm up to others, but when she does, she’s the sweetest little thing. Whether it be a flower, a pretty pebble she found, or a picture she drew, little Marina loves to give gifts.
Best Friend
Tumblr media
The sweetest cinnamon roll who will kill you (not without good reason... probably). Armin is a gentle and inquisitive soul. I feel as though his warm nature and unorthodox way of thinking would help you feel comfortable, like you can easily let loose and unveil your thoughts openly without judgement.
His boundlessly curiosity would have him engage in long conversations with you that could last for hours. If he were to see your mind go blank, he'd do his best to help fill in the gap and figure out what it is you're trying to think of.
I feel like you two would be like two peas in a pod.

forever, winter
can we stay this way forever?
Tumblr media
word count : 1.3k
genre : fluff, first snow with winter; gn!reader x idol!winter
tw : none :)
status : one-shot; pt. 1/2; part 2
a/n : would recommend to play ‘forever’ by aespa while reading, it gives off winter season vibes :3 enjoy !!
"minjeong!"
seeing the first snow was always heart fluttering. especially with the person you love the most. as she rushed downstairs hearing the yelp, her concerned expression formed into relief and joy.
"isn't it beautiful?"
"you say that every time we see the first snow."
"well because it is, don't you think so?"
"I do, I just think it's more stunning with you sat at this very spot every year."
"oh, cut the cheesiness. I'm getting goosebumps."
two cups of hot chocolate with marshmallows and her favorite pochacco blanket were undeniably the best combo you could ever think of. the girl slept in slumber, letting out a few tiny snores.
she had been working on her group's newest ballad; which she was clearly over stressing herself with. it was too good for it to not be released along with their upcoming full album. you just knew people were gonna like it, no scrap that, people were gonna love it.
sometimes you just wished minjeong wouldn't be so hard on herself. to be honest, you weren't one to say anything about it as you tend to want things to be 'perfect' too. but because you knew how it felt, you didn't want her to feel the guilt and disappointment when the desired results aren't achieved.
you were thankful that she had four days off, so that she could rest and enjoy the rest of the christmassy feels of december before the year ended. but knowing her, she would never want to stay indoors for the whole holiday. little did she know, you had a small surprise for her when new year comes.
as an hour or so went by, you saw her eyes fluttering open, showing that she was still drowned in the sleepiness.
"how long was I gone for?"
"hmm, an hour? I didn't wake you cause you looked so cute with your snores."
"argh! that's so embarrassing!..."
"honey, we've lived together for years."
"but still! I want to always show you the best of me..."
"kim minjeong, we've went through this before. don't tell me you want me to narrate that time you rushed out without much makeup and I was literally blown away with your beauty."
"no! that's because my dance lesson ended late, plus I probably looked disheveled after practice."
raising a brow at her words, she returned it, making you break character and laughed your asses off.
the night went by with you showering her with endless compliments although you lack vocabulary and her turning red every now and then.
the time she was performing on stage, the time she was recording in the studio, the time she had a photoshoot.
the time she squealed seeing the puppies at the cafe, the time her eyes sparkled as she had her favourite lasagna in ages, the time she learnt how to ride the bicycle.
just her. every moment you remember were all infused with her in it and you can't be more grateful. to have her in your life and love her.
the snow had melted a little overnight as the sun seeped through the cracks of the curtain, waking you up. you looked to your side to see minjeong missing. that was when you noticed your sensory cells working, taking in the smell of freshly cooked bacon.
"we could've gotten McDonald's."
"oh, you're awake. nah, it's better to cook, we still had those ham and sausages we bought last week."
you nodded in reply, taking the seat with your back facing the garden. although you've loved the scenery of your garden, you had to let her take the one facing it when she gave you the puppy eyes. as if you weren't already a softie for her.
"let's dig in!"
"..."
"..."
"why do you like me?"
the dining table had always been quiet when you eat as you both knew that you two almost never talk while eating no matter how much any of you want to talk about something. you knew minjeong had something on in her mind.
"I don't like you. I love you more than you can imagine."
"it's morning, please spare my ears."
"alright, alright. it's because it's you."
"that's all? like anything about my appearance?"
from that, you knew it was about her looks again. she must've gone through the comments on media platforms about her again. and you knew that not everyone has the nicest things to say about others on the internet.
"you look beautiful, both inside and outside. minjeong, please don't put too much attention on those comments."
"I can't help! I just..."
she had all the reasons in her head yet they don't exist. every time she tries to find for a good solid reason to prove that the comments matter, she can't. silence engulfed the air as the staring competition went on.
"just?'
"just... fine, I give up. but it doesn't mean the comments don't matter!"
"I never said that comments don't matter. just the rotten ones. you have every right to read the comments but store the nice ones you come across and recycle the bad ones into motivation."
minjeong looks at you like you had grown a second head. not wanting to sound weird, you went with the cliché question.
"is there something on my face?"
"no no, I just found your smart side really sexy."
you were taken aback, not expecting her to be that straightforward with her choice of words. you could feel your ears burning a little, but played it cool before offering to wash the dishes.
as you grabbed for the washing gloves, you could feel arms wrapped around your torso. you recognized the vanilla scent, easing your nerves as you smiled at her snuggling into your back.
"thank you, baby. you're the best."
"to be honest, it's nothing compared to what you've done for me."
"don't say that! we both each other's safe haven. you were right, if I put too much of my mind onto the negativity, it would've just made me feel worse about myself."
"i'm glad I can make your feel better."
"as you always do."
you turned around to face her, her arms loosen a little but still holding onto you. you didn't mind whether the bubbles and soap were dripping onto the floor. what mattered was this angel in front of you.
so many years together, one glance into her orbs and you knew what she was thinking and vice versa of course. but she totally missed that playful smirk on you as you booped her nose with your gloved-hand.
she gasped, surprised but still smiley at your childishness. she got herself some soap from your gloves before doing the same as it grew into a bubble fight. but saw the end of it when you guys almost broke a plate.
"i'll finish up, get changed and wait for me?"
"where are we going?"
"somewhere."
demanding for an answer, she glared at you, failing miserably as you just chuckled at her cuteness. she still kept the glaring, making you give in as you didn't need a cardiac arrest on a very wonderful Sunday morning.
"I planned a course for our date today so our first stop would be the city park that opened last month."
"really?! oh my god, you should've told me!"
"it was supposed to be a surprise but my dear maltese was impatient."
"it still is! I'll go up now, I need to find the best fit for us. we're gonna take so many pictures today!"
she rushed to your shared room excitedly, swearing you saw a tail wagging intensely with excitement and anticipation for the day. you just couldn't contain that smile of yours whenever it came to her. her antics always made you smile. she always made you smile.

You've Forgotten How To Get Shit Done
Characters: (Right 2 Fight) Dean, Kitberry, Adam, Anthony
Warnings: None
Notes: None
Tumblr media
The city was a cesspool for mindless violence and oddities. Everyone knew that. Anyone would tell outsiders that it was like a tension that would never die out when you were on the street. God forbid you just tried to go down to the store, because chances were you'd get attacked by someone just picking a fight. It was cartoonish.
While Adam looked out of the locked up cafés windows, they could still see it. Blood stains on the sidewalk, beat up cars as a result of people being slammed into them, store owners loading their firearms which were beyond necessary. They had stopped listening to Dean and Kitberry's ninth argument of the day from the other side of the booth, just inspecting what they could from their seat.
Anthony took a moment to sneak a peek at Adam and whatever they were staring at. He was pleasantly surprised to see nothing more than the already existing marks.
He hummed in acknowledgement, which incentivized Adam to look back. "Not so bad right now." They offered, to which Anthony rolled his shoulders. "Right now." He retorted.
Dean looked over. "What're you two talkin' about?" He asked, putting he and Kitberry's petty squabble on pause. Adam tilted his head, using it to gesture outside. "Not so bad right now. Anthony thinks-"
"Knows." Anthony chimed in.
"-okay, yeah, knows it'll be worse later."
It was true. Everyone at the table knew it. It was rare enough to not hear some kind of scrap from anywhere in the city at any point, so an empty street in the middle of the day just meant it was going to be worse than usual later.
Dean stared outside, his lip curling upward with frustration while his nose scrunched. "This fucking place." He spoke quietly, fist clenching on the table. "Y'know, when was the last time you even saw a cop on the street?"
"That's not exactly a bad thing." Kitberry pointed out, and everyone could hear the smile on her face (if she had one, Dean had theorized she never took the mask off because she didn't for a long time. Kit never confirmed nor denied that) from under the mask.
Dean just scoffed. "You get what I mean though! No ones in control except for... What, the mob? How much are you willing to bet that they're paying the cops to just stay the hell outta stuff?" He raved, opening his fist to wave his hand at the window.
It was a good point. He neglected to mention the other groups in the city that seemed to be around every corner with no real reason- not any one that they knew at least- but the idea still got across.
They went quiet. The state of the city was something that had always loomed over every waking moment, it was impossible to really forget about it all. Talking about it so directly was still almost touchy.
Dean looked down at the table, and Adams head drifted back to stare out of the window. Anthony let his hand rest on their thigh as some sense of comfort in the moment.
"Someone should do something." Adam muttered to momentarily break the silence, which overtook them again right after.
About ten or so seconds of quiet continued, though when Kitberry looked at Dean to try and see what he was doing in that time- she could almost see a twinkle in his eye. Then he spoke.
"We should do something."
That got the rest of the groups attention, who snapped looked at him.
"What?" Adam just stared at him.
"We're sitting on our asses, bitching about how bad the city is, right?"
"You mean you're doing that." Kitberry snickered.
"I will stab you." He warned after turning to look at her, then back to the group. "I'm serious though! I can fight, I know Anthony can-" Dean proclaimed, pointing to the taller male. "-you and you, not so sure, but it isn't too hard." He added on, flicking his finger between Kit and Adam.
Anthony seemed to get lost in thought as Dean explained. Yet again, he had a point.
"Most of those bastards can't throw a good punch. And if they can? There would be four of us! It wouldn't even matter! We could do something instead of bitching that there's nothing we could do, you get that?" Dean paused. "We could make a difference, or at least try."
He was so dead set in his thoughts. With how he worded it, it seemed as though it was a thought in his head before. Just one he'd never acted on or expressed.
Anthony was the one to speak, which was a surprise in general, even more so right then.
"Worth trying." He said in agreement. "...I'll take that chance."
Dean beamed at that, an almost childlike smile shining off of his face while he leaned over the table and held his hand out.
"That's my man." He laughed as Anthony reached his own hand out to dap him up, their palms slapping together before their fingers curled against down them and against each other.
Both sat back down, and Kitberry was next in the conversation. "Fuck it." She shrugged. "Why not?"
Why not was one of her main philosophies when it came to anything. A simple one that anyone could appreciate, because it also meant that if shit hit the fan- she'd have your back. Dean could name a few times off the top of his head she'd come in clutch for him.
Then the attention went to Adam, and Anthony found himself holding their thigh a little tighter. "You don't have to." He murmured. Adam gave him a small smile while they put their hand over his. "It'd be nice to have you along though." Dean said, "But if you can't, there's no shame in it."
Adam glanced back outside. Back to the bloodstains, the signs of fights and constant injustice because no one was doing a goddamn thing. It was an infection of violence that scorched everyone around it with its blast radius, and they would be charging headfirst into the fire to fight it off with a stronger flame.
They wouldn't just be another bystander to it. Their attention focused back in on the other three.
"I'm in." They declared. Dean harshly clapped with a cheering yell, "Atta'boy!" And that smile was back on his face.
He made constant jokes about them being the weakest in the group (a lot more playfully when Anthony was around, he wasn't looking to get into a fight with the big fuck because he thought it was a little too serious) but when it truly came down to it, they weren't a coward. He respected it more than they'd ever know.
Anthony kept staring at Adam. "Are you sure about this?" He asked quietly, they just nodded back. "Yeah. We'll all be together. And, y'know, I can handle myself."
"Ehh... Sorta." He teased, Adam rolled their eyes as they held back a larger grin. "I'm sure." They confirmed again, squeezing his hand gently. Anthony nodded. He knew he'd be looking out for them more than Dean and Kit- partially because he knew Dean and Kitberry could handle themselves- mostly because he just refused to let Adam get hurt. (Not that he wanted to see the other two get fucked up mind you.)
Dean looked around at the three of them. "Tomorrow. At 12. We all meet in that alleyway, y'know, near the garage where the guy sells weapons and shit?" He explained. "We start then."
The others agreed with hums of agreement and nodding their heads.
Adam looked back outside, and Kitberry mumbled to Dean. They stopped listening almost immediately, stopping them from hearing the previous argument between them being kicked back up as Dean threatened her.
